Art of Scent - Swiss Perfumes

Art of Scent - Swiss Perfumes (aka Odem Swiss Perfumes) - the scent of Switzerland! - is the new company name of Brigitte Witschi. «It is a wonderful feeling to know that my perfume and scent creations accompany people all over the world.» My fascination with scents and fragrances has, in recent years, prompted me to deepen my knowledge in the creative and sensuous realm of perfumes. It is through my longstanding work with seeing impaired people that I have been able to improve and refine this knowledge with regard to essences, ingredients and aromas, and their beneficial effects. During the various therapeutic methods that I have applied on my students, I began to experiment with scents as a way of reaching out to them and penetrating the doors of their sealed world. Eventually I began to create my own blends of essential oils, which in turn led me to attend the perfume academy in Grasse ASFO (Centre de formation professionnel aux métiers des parfums, des arômes et de la cosmétique). My vision to found my own label has been fulfilled. As a skilled perfumer and scent designer, I now have the immense joy of creating personal and unique fragrances. My ideas for fragrances originate in my mind and then travel to the nose. “My ideas begin to take shape as I visualize lush, green alpine meadows, feeling herbs, casting my mind on different feelings and experiences. Only then do I begin mixing and blending the numerous essences.” In my perfume studio in Bern called Art of Scent-Swiss Perfumes, I create perfumes, room fragrances and personalized scents. Carefully chosen essences and harmonious blends are utilized in crafting original creations in fulfilling customer requests. I also take great delight in the varied history of perfumes and will gladly impart my vast knowledge to people of all ages in workshop, seminars and company events.
