Ellen Betrix company was launched in Germany in 1935, carrying a wide range of cosmetic and perfume products. In 1968, they launched a gentleman's line using the name Henry M. Betrix. In 1984 Betrix worked with Boss to create Boss fragrances. The first Hugo Boss fragrance was launched in 1985. The Hugo Boss fragrance line was a great success, and Betrix then created a new division named Eurocos to house the Boss and Laura Biagiotti brands. Revlon then acquired Betrix in 1989. In 1991 Procter & Gamble bought Betrix from Revlon; this purchase included the license for Hugo Boss fragrances. In 2000 Procter & Gamble decided to combine their Betrix and Max Factor cosmetic brands. Both ranges now contain nearly the same products, but are marketed with different names in different regions. Designer Ellen Betrix has 4 perfumes in our fragrance base. The earliest edition was created in 1969 and the newest is from 1988. Ellen Betrix fragrances were made in collaboration with perfumers Maurice Roucel and Edouard Fléchier.
