The name "Paul Sebastian" suggests an individual designer behind the products, but Paul Sebastian is actually an American brand name founded by two New Jersey residents, Leonard Paul Cuozzo and Alan Sebastian Greco. Their first scent, Paul Sebastian Fine Cologne, was created in 1979. Originally marketed regionally in the New Jersey area, interest in the scent grew and quickly led to wider distribution. The company achieved remarkable success in spite of its lack of advertising, instead choosing to expand its territory through relationships with distributors and innovative marketing concepts such as the gift with purchase. The first women's scent, Design, was offered in 1985. The men's companion Design scent was launched in 1995, along with the popular Casual series for men and women that same year. Paul Sebastian Inc. was purchased by FFI in 1999. FFI later purchased Elizabeth Arden and adopted the Arden brand as its company name. Paul Sebastian fragrances are still produced today by Elizabeth Arden. Designer Paul Sebastian has 9 perfumes in our fragrance base. The earliest edition was created in 1979 and the newest is from 2006. The nose who worked on the fragrances is Fritzsche Dodge.
