Reviews

The opening smells like a mixture of Incense Rose and Eau d'epices. Tauer has a good range of scents and when it comes to oriental fragrances, I tend to heart Incense Rose over most Tauer orientals. With that being said, Orange Star gets the honorable mention nod from me. It's sweet without being gourmandish. Longevity is about 6hrs. This could be worn all year round and suitable for any occasion.

This reminds me of certain basements I used to play in as a child. You have the damp, musty notes from the ambergris and tonka bean, and an air freshener spray desperately trying to brighten up the room with the oranges and lemongrass. The result is a musty, dark floral fragrance neither fresh nor fruity.

There is something in the background of this marvelous creature that is reminiscent of body odor or bad breath. I think it might be the ambergris from the note breakdown but at the same time I’m not entirely sure. It’s a lovely perfume, either way, and it just gives it thickness and texture, and it’s hard to pick out, but it’s there momentarily until it collapses into a briny redolent tangerine neroli explosion.

This one is a unique citrus creation from Andy Tauer as are his other creations. This one is not your sweet citrus scent but rather gives a sour orange kind of vibe. The orange blossom and lemongrass probably account for that. I also detect a bit of skanky vetiver in this though there is no mention of it in the notes section. Coming to the performance, it’s quite potent, stays for long and leaves a decent trail when you walk by. Freshie-perfume lovers can definitely check out this different-melding of citruses by the master @andy_tauer

A headache-inducing and nauseous concoction; like being forced to consume a nasty medicine disguised as a health drink with the help of artificial flavouring. Sorry, Andy! Not for me.
