This perfume is overwhelming due to its strong sweetness, which causes me significant discomfort.
This one's too similar to SWY Absolutely for me, except with a subtle hint of OG 1 Million vs Rum in Armani. After some time passes, the differences fade away and they become indistinguishable from afar 😐 A bit underwhelmed, as this scent seems super trendy right now, "le scent du jour". Edit: I've noticed that the drydown is actually better with Elixir, since the original 1 Million DNA reappears but in a more subtle way, giving it a cozy feel.
There are numerous counterfeit perfumes circulating in the market. Specifically, online platforms like eBay have become notorious for hosting fake perfume listings, often originating from China and other countries. Given the excellent longevity of this particular fragrance, I suspect that those who claim it has poor longevity may have unknowingly purchased a counterfeit product.
The opening is strikingly reminiscent of balsamic apples, which initially impress but dissipate rapidly, barely leaving an imprint - vanishing into the mid-notes within 90 seconds. Thereafter, I experience a powdery freshness reminiscent of vanilla, accompanied by warm tonka and sweet osmanthus notes, with cedar's subtle, dry undertones providing depth. The fragrance is more aromatic than woody in nature. It evokes the sensation of savoring a rich, dark rum cake adorned with vanilla-almond frosting and candied apricot pieces, served on a rustic wooden cutting board - an indulgent treat fit for a celebratory occasion.
This perfume presents a more saccharine and piquant interpretation of 1 Million EDT, with an apple note that bears a striking resemblance to strawberry or cherry, which I find endearing. The longevity is exceptional, and I'm particularly pleased with the price I paid for this scent, so overall, I have no reservations.
