This is so beautiful from the bottle and on card - Bright, very sharp citrus and aromatic tea over a creamy sweet vanilla. I'm going to have to keep trying this but I suspect my skin chemistry doesn't appreciate it. It starts to smell like antiseptic on me. It's actually the same as the dry down I get with 4711 Acqua Colonia Intense Sunny Seaside of Zanzibar! Heaven from the bottle but my skin turns it to antiseptic! I thought it was the star anise that did it in Zanzibar but this perfume does it too and the only shared notes are the vanilla and musk, (the vanilla being the dominant note in both!). I'll be really sad if I have to get rid of this one :( Update* I tried this again today (it’s very hot and balmy!) and the odd antiseptic smell now reminds me of swimming pools…. A very slight chlorine vibe on my skin and now I wonder if it's the musk in here that is causing me problems. The Narciso Rodriguez Musc perfumes all smell like swimming pools to me, so maybe there's a specific type of musk that's causing me problems!

Olivier Cresp is NOT the nose behind this. He confirmed this himself!

Heartbroken. I really liked this when it went on but very quickly the tea turns to straight acrid leather on me, until it eventually smells a bit like vanilla and burning tyre. It could be a skin chemistry issue but dang. It’s bad.

A beautiful spiced tea fragrance. Opens up with a bit Smokey lemon tea flavor and is backed up by the ginger accord which is not listed here but the notes are on the outer packaging of the perfume. Drydown is a soft light floral on a nutty and warm base. Comforting spicy tea scent that can be compared to Winter Palace by MEMO Best scented regards, @olyabar

This has soon become an easy reach, no brainer bed time scent. It pairs beautifully with Red Sandalwood scented body cream (try the Spa Ceylon Red Sandalwood Body Essence, they ship worldwide). The body cream somewhat cuts the sharpness of the top notes and adds this gorgeous creaminess that really rounds out this beauty. I didn’t have the highest of hopes for this (the price is so great but, that usually means the ingredients won’t be the best). It doesn’t last too long on the skin but lasts 8+ hours on clothes, so maybe try spraying on your garments (it doesn’t stain). It basically smells like a lemon and vanilla cake that you’d have at tea time! 5 o’clock is the perfect name for it. It doesn’t smell too much of tea. In fact I barely even detect the tea. But it does evoke the feeling of 5 o’clock tea time with biscuits, cake and other goodies, slightly cooler weather now that the suns started to go down, crisp fresh air and coziness galore. My boyfriend cuddled me and said I smelled yummy like a lemon cookie! So I guess it’s great as a bed time scent as it does help wind down and get in the groove to have a good nights sleep. It’s beautiful and for that price I’d buy it over and over again. I love it! Sarah Mayes on YouTube made me buy this. Find me on Instagram as @fragranceblogcmb
