A vibrant, refreshing citrus scent with a touch of sweetness and natural charm. While it doesn't break new ground, it's skillfully crafted. I notice a subtle resemblance to Fico di Amalfi in the dry down, which might be attributed to benzoin. Unfortunately, this fragrance struggles with longevity and projection, requiring frequent reapplications to stay detectable throughout the day - every 30 minutes to be precise. Despite its limitations, I still enjoy it quite a bit. It earns a solid 7 out of 10 from me! 👍
The perfume offers a strikingly fresh and revitalizing citrus introduction, reminiscent of Acqua di Parma's signature style, which unfortunately falters significantly after 30-40 minutes, leaving me underwhelmed given its premium price tag.
This perfume unleashes a potent citrus explosion on my skin, subtly underscored by the warmth of ginger, with no other discernible notes. On my extremely dry skin in cold weather (50 degrees), it persists for at least six hours and leaves a pleasant scent trail for several hours to follow. Living in Arizona's desert climate means hot temperatures are the norm, so I'm unsure how this fragrance fares above 90 degrees; however, when I purchased it in November during the still-warm season, it lasted around four hours as a strong skin scent. I thoroughly adore it and intend to supplement with lotion and shower gel to prolong its longevity. The disparity between my experience and those of other reviewers is unclear, but I'm delighted with this unisex fragrance, which has garnered me numerous compliments without any negative feedback on the scent.
I've tried several Acqua Di Parma Blu Metirraneo fragrances, including Mirto di Panarea and Mandorlo di Sicilia, which I quite enjoy. However, they all share the same issue of poor longevity on my skin. This Bergamotto di Calabria has been a letdown so far, with its bergamot and lemon notes being overpowering at first, only to disappear quickly after the ginger kicks in.
A refreshing perfume for the warmer months! The initial whiff is dominated by fresh citrus notes of bergamot, which blend seamlessly with floral accords to create a delightful summer fragrance with a feminine twist. As time passes, the flowers gradually come to the forefront, making this scent an ideal choice for those looking for a light and airy perfume perfect for hot days.
