I've gotten quite a few compliments on this perfume, but I'm not super into it myself. I do like it, though I don't see myself reaching for a full bottle. Morillas really nails those light, fresh, aquatic summer scents, and this one is no exception. Being hard to please, I wouldn't go so far as to call it a masterpiece or anything—it's good but not outstanding. All in all, this is a solid summer perfume that's worth trying.
My dad has this perfume called Acqua Essenziale by Salvatore Ferragamo. I gave it a shot just for kicks. It’s not overpowering, which is good because it doesn’t make my head hurt. I can definitely pick out the minty and citrus notes, but I’m not a fan of that rotten egg smell. Still, it’s sweet enough that it could easily work for anyone. Overall, I wear it when I want to feel connected to my dad, but I wouldn’t typically go out of my way for it since I usually prefer something with more punch.
I find this fragrance simply divine on my skin. It brings a smile to my face every time I sniff a whiff. I’m still new to fragrances, owning only seven and having tried about 30, so I can’t say for sure whether it’s similar to BDC or ADG. Being so fresh to the game, it feels easier to excite me. I bought it specifically for my high-heat, high-humidity work environment, and I must admit, it truly shines! It offers a refreshing vibe that keeps me going throughout the day. The scent lasts a solid two hours with good projection, plus occasional sniffing for a few more hours afterward.
An interesting scent that doesn’t quite hit the mark for me. It’s kind of trying too hard, and while it’s not perfect, it has great projection and longevity. The main issue here is how soap-like it feels, making it a bit synthetic. It reminds me a bit of Davidoff’s Cool Water or Aqua di Gio but doesn’t quite reach the level of those originals. It’s a safe office choice since most folks won’t notice unless it’s too flashy, like a student party scent. But for someone who knows their perfumes, this one might not hit all the right notes. I’d say the problem here is having one too many conflicting notes. Though the vetiver drydown is impressive and worth sticking with, there’s just something about the initial impression that I can’t quite get on board with. I’d still choose this over something like Sauvage or Bleu de Chanel any day.
Imagine Alberto Morillas creating this lackluster fragrance for Ferragamo House—it’s uninspired but not unpleasant. Lanvin's L’Homme is forgettable, bland, and invisible among fresh scents—perfect for the office. I don’t usually layer perfumes, but mixing Lanvin’s with Acqua Essenziale enhances both, creating a balanced, enjoyable scent. This approach saved me from wasting money on those two impulse purchases.
