I'm utterly impressed with this fragrance, its aroma is truly exceptional. While I detect a prominent presence of spices, I sense a subtle undertone of leather as well. Overall, I'm thoroughly pleased with it - in fact, I've decided to purchase the full size!
Just sampled a recent production run and I'm disappointed to report that the scent has lost much of its original charm. The current formula is barely reminiscent of its former self, making me hesitant to invest in a full-bottle purchase.
This perfume is exceptional! Cardamom, spice, wood, and a hint of leather blend together in harmony, with just the right balance to avoid overwhelming the senses. It's bold but not overpowering, making it tolerable for even those who typically shy away from strong fragrances. The well-blended notes ensure that it isn't jarring or loud, yet it still projects and lasts an impressively long time - a rare combination indeed. This scent is ideal for crisp winter nights or chilly fall evenings, and I'd highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates this style of perfume. My current bottle, from 2023, is a testament to the quality and consistency of recent batches.
Similar to Layton for the first 30 minutes, with a dry down similar to Naxos. However, it's less potent than Naxos overall. The performance is average, lasting over 8 hours on skin but lacking in projection and sillage, which is only noticeable during the initial three hours. In my opinion, it's not worth it.
