this smells like a weak version of santal 33 which is far better. Lacklustre fragrance and a disappointing addition to the Byredo line up.

Soft, comforting, safe. I can definitely sense the similarities with white suede by tom ford, with that soft and bitter leather note. But I can also smell something that reminds me of the hazelnut & orris combo of oh la la by teo cabanel (altough a little sweeter and creamier here)!! Anyway, it's beautiful, but I don’t need it as I already own both the tom ford and teo cabanel ones EDIT: nevermind..... i absolutely need this.........

This is very different for Byredo. Smells like something Tom Ford or Le labo would create, dense and sensual. It's suede-like, leathery, powdery and musky. Is it animalic though? Lasts a long time for a Byredo. One of the better creations by Byredo.

Imagine Animalique if the animal was a real mink fur teddy bear, the kind with leather eyes and suede paw pads; stuffed with cashmere fluff. Imagine that teddy bear collecting the surrounding scents of a very nice clean home, musky hugs, slightly sweet tobacco, the Byredo SUEDE hand wash and faint violets. That’s what I get when I wear it. 🐻 But on my BF I imagine a huge real bear hide rug, brand new, shiny fur with no taxidermy scents at all, the head still attached, laying elegantly on a freshly cleansed polished white marble floor. I also get leather bound books and a petite cigar cava. 🧸 No worries, not animalic at all. I feel like it has the best parts of similar Tom Ford’s like the smoothness of Ombré Leather, the dry down of Fking Fabulous, with a contempo minimalist Le Labo vibe which makes it dreamier than the mentioned Tom Ford’s, ESPECIALLY better than TF White Suede in my opinion. It’s also more unisex since there’s a slight powdery sweetness.

First impression: Feminine leaning, unisex, violet leaf dominant, scent. I think the name is from the strong petrol scent this gives off.
