This perfume doesn't necessarily cater to those who adore hazelnut, yet it remains appealing nonetheless. The scent's woody undertones, courtesy of resin, vetiver, and an unidentified note, lend a distinctly masculine touch, making it feel most at home on a man's skin. As the fragrance warms up on the skin, it transforms into a creamier, woodier accord. The hazelnut takes a step back, retaining its sweet smokiness from the initial stages.

When I applied this scent, I was surprised by its strong resemblance to a candle. While the licorice note prevents it from being overwhelmingly sweet, it still feels more suitable for fragranting home textiles during winter than personal use.

This is indeed a complex and intriguing scent that unfolds over time. Now, I detect notes of wood and sweetness in a truly unique combination. I've come to appreciate this perfume on its fourth iteration, as it takes patience to fully comprehend its nuances.

Wearing Aomassai is akin to being captivated by a sleek black feline. At first, the scent unfolds with an uncertain quality, reminiscent of a cat searching for the perfect spot on your skin, with notes of milky coffee and ashy undertones, possibly hinting at charred licorice root. As the fragrance settles, it relaxes into a soothing slumber, initially still conscious and twitching, revealing subtle hints of liquorice, soft spices, woody nuances, dry hazelnuts, and an enticing haze of incense. Ultimately, you're left with a warm, silky, caramel-infused incense cloud that continues to mesmerize for at least six hours.
