The perfume’s advertising is really off-putting, and the bottle looks like something straight out of Wesley Pegden's workshop. If I hadn’t caught a whiff of it on the wind, I might have walked right by. But when I sniffed it again, I recognized that distinct 1970s vibe. There were these two shops in Newcastle back then—Fynd and The Little Shop—that both had this exact scent. It reminded me of Indian spice markets, patchouli, Greek men smoking under trees in the morning (vetiver is so sexy), and even the mossy banks of Sherwood Forest where Maid Marian… well, you know. It’s like Robin Hood with the original TV arrow and those trumpets! Most guys naturally smell like pepper and coriander, but this perfume really highlights those notes. Add a suede or leather jacket, and it’s pure pleasure. The bottle and ads are hideous—please fix that and give it the sexy overhaul it deserves. I’m thinking David Essex in his "Tarmac Your Drive For a Tenner Guv/All The Fun Of The Fair" persona might be the perfect vibe—gypsy, fun, and imagine him spinning you on a Waltzer at the fair!

This scent is one of my favorites. It would become my go-to if it stayed around longer. The scent is unique and appealing, though it fades away quickly.

This fragrance feels overwhelming due to its heavy pepper notes, but I can see why MJ's Original holds a special place in your heart as your favorite work.

This scent has serious potential to become my go-to! There's something about this scent that I just can't stop thinking about. It really channels confidence and has a bold, masculine edge with a touch of attitude. Some folks mention they find the pepper overpowering, but for me, I actually like how it adds depth. Perfect for a sharp suit and tie occasion. If it were labeled under Tom Ford or Maison Margiela (MDCI), everyone would definitely be talking about it! You really should give it a shot.

I can’t even find the right words to describe how much this advert annoys me, but I actually like the scent. It’s kind of gay-coded, like YSL Le Male, but the ad campaign feels really unclassy. Testing perfumes with my gay friend—this guy is a riot—I saw the bottle on the shelf, and he rolled his eyes, saying something like, "Oh my god, let's get out of here. I can't bear seeing Marc Jacobs act like that." We ended up escaping to the Prada and Hermes section for some fresh air. As for the fragrance itself, I do like it, but the "Banged" bottle and the super strong scent aren’t really worth the investment. It's all a bit too much for me. You know what, though? Your obsession with gay-coded fragrances needs to stop! Maybe it’s time to explore some classic options instead of always going for the same thing.
