I'm really interested in the Zoologist perfume line—each scent is inspired by different animals and their unique habitats, which is such a cool concept! I love how each bottle looks like it tells its own story. While I was hoping for something featuring cats, I was excited to try the Bat scent since bats are another creature I adore. Unfortunately, my experience with Bat wasn't as great as I'd hoped. It has this really clean smell that reminded me more of earthy notes and soil, but it felt a bit too masculine for me to wear. I was expecting some fruitier or sweeter undertones, but they weren't really present. Instead, I could definitely pick out mineral, green woody, and musky notes. The sample size I bought came with an extra scent and a heartfelt thank-you note, which added a nice touch. I'll keep an eye on what Zoologist does next! UPDATE: After using the Bat perfume as a room spray for a while, I started noticing it had this piney, almost chemical smell that reminded me of Pine-Sol. Unfortunately, that association has made it harder for me to enjoy the scent now.
My first experience with a Zoologist perfume was interesting, though I expected it to be more of an occasional wear rather than something I'd use daily. The opening layers have a muddy, clay-like scent that feels earthy and unique. As the fragrance evolves, bright fruit notes emerge, making it more approachable and pleasant. A distinct banana note adds a playful touch to the fragrance. This scent isn't just a gimmick; it's thoughtfully blended and worth experimenting with. Overall, I'd rate this perfume a solid 7.5 out of 10. (John 3:16)
It’s an unusual, one-of-a-kind perfume that feels like something from another planet. The scent is an exciting mix of bold and unconventional notes, blending fruity and leathery elements with an air of mystery, reminiscent of a tropical rainforest hidden behind vines. Overall, it’s a daring and creative fragrance.
"Wet dirt. Taking the concept to its extreme, and an impossible wear for me." **Paraphrased Comment:** "Smells like wet dirt and pushes the idea to extremes, making it something I couldn't wear regularly."
Another bad experience from this store. I was expecting a beautiful fragrance like Bandi or Bvlgari. Unfortunately, Volksen's perfume was cheap, old, and confusing with muddy earthy notes. It felt overwhelming and unpleasant. It doesn't even deserve to be looked at. Another terribly bad perfume.
