When i first sniffed this one, "Cruel Summer" by Bananarama came up on my mind! it's like the summertime, the burning summertime of the asphalt pavements and burning tires in an empty city, it's mostly like the smell of the day city walk in "Last Of Us" video game. Musk, Castoreum, and leather. I wouldn't wear this one myself, but it is wearable.
this starts out just like your average fresh ozonic mens cologne and dries down into something more unisex and less in your face
Got a decant sample of this and I’m not impressed. All I get is a soapy residue smell like after you shower. With some slight animalic hits. I guess it sorta reminds me of being at the nature center as a child. It’s okay. Nothing compared to Bee my favorite so far. 6/10. But I will continue to test and update as I go.
Someone else struggled to describe it as anything but "nice". I get that. The opening is immediately quite bright, watery and floral but that tames down almost immediately on my skin. It soon settles into the linden blossom, leather and castoreum that the notes pyramid shows. Light. Musky. Floral. Nice. Not much more I can say. Not what I expected from Zoologist but then that might be good for some people. The others I tried were quite potent and dark.
Beaver is a balanced and wearable aquatic-leather scent. This is a scent of early dewy morning, while you are on a motorcycle trip. You smell freshness and some delicate meadow flowers, maybe pink clover? You put on your leather jacket, start the engine. Here comes the Zoologist hallmark note - a bit of burning tires on asphalt. But the note is not dominant, then it is just a fresh sunny morning somewhere in Canada. We are Beavers :) This is an unofficial scent of Canadian road trips in summer!
