Reviews

Not overly complex, yet not straightforward either. The perfume has a refined quality to its citrus notes and I'm fond of the aroma after it dries down, although I was expecting more longevity from it. I share similar sentiments with previous reviewers regarding the signature style of Ellena in this one, as well as comparisons to other creations by him; however, I slightly prefer Bigarade Concentrate. While the price doesn't justify itself solely due to the fragrance's performance, I do appreciate the scent.

A well-crafted bitter orange perfume that strikes the perfect harmony between flavors. Rather than being overpowering in any one direction, it exhibits a refreshing zestiness. I'll be keeping tabs on this scent and wouldn't rule out making a future purchase.

The initial impression is truly impressive, with an opening that's bursting with fresh, sour citrus notes reminiscent of lemon. However, the dry-down falls flat for me, transforming into a sweet, floral scent with subtle hints of grass and black pepper, which unfortunately doesn't resonate well with my preferences.

The perfume doesn't quite blend with my skin, lingering in an unpleasantly sharp and sweaty tone for too long. I had hoped for a more harmonious relationship; if anyone is willing to exchange, I'd be open to exploring alternatives. 🤔💧

I encountered Bigarade today and initially, upon opening the bottle, it brought to mind Terre D'Hermès Tres Fraiche. Yet, whereas that perfume dives headfirst into heavy woody notes, causing me discomfort if not worn at the right time (high humidity, too warm weather, etc.), Bigarade mellows out into a warm, honey-like sweetness that's fleeting yet remarkably persistent. While I'm enthusiastic about adding it to my collection someday, its longevity feels somewhat underwhelming. I'm unsure whether this is due to the Ellena factor - when you can't detect the scent yourself, but others around you can - so I hope to find a bottle at a price suitable for a fragrance with such limited staying power. Nonetheless, I genuinely enjoyed Bigarade - it's captivating and lively.
