Reviews

Cinzenta's review really stood out to me—it's simply smashing. It truly is. Though I wish it were stronger and had more staying power. It has a smoky, slightly powdery vibe that reminds me of lipstick and ashes. Very intriguing and absolutely smashing!

Blind buys can be a bit of a gamble, but this perfume has really won me over. It's got me feeling confident, classic, and just a hint of mystery. The scent is so enchanting that I find myself sniffing it constantly. While Guerlain Idylle and I share some similar top and middle notes, Gres has an irresistible charm that makes it worth every penny, especially with its reasonable price point.

I got this perfume called Cabaret in the mail the other day, and it was a blind buy that really worked out for me! I'm really liking it. It’s not one of those super-sweet, girly scents that remind me of candy or fruits—more mature and sophisticated, warm and sensual, definitely a woman’s perfume. Patchouli is strong here, but it’s not harsh or overwhelming—it’s smooth and well-integrated. There’s no peony, but I can definitely pick out the rose—it’s soft and understated. The blend of incense, amber, and sandalwood is just my thing. At first glance, I thought it might be heavy or gloomy, but it’s anything but—that rose really lightens it up! The rose is constant, but it’s spicier than sweet. This is completely different from those floral, fruity, or candy scents that are everywhere right now—and that’s exactly why I love it. I’ve never really been into those flowery, fruity scents—spicy, woody perfumes are where it’s at for me. I’d definitely rather not smell like a marshmallow! I wouldn’t have even known about this one—or really any of the ones I’ve collected—if it weren’t for this website. Reading all the different reactions and stories people share about perfumes is super interesting!

This scent feels a bit earthy, mixing patchouli and iris with a dusty undertone, but it's more reminiscent of old luxury with a negative vibe—almost like the grandeur of brothels past their prime.

The distinctive aroma of an after-party dust lingered in the air, blending notes of incense and wood smoke with the acrid scent of cigarettes. Roses, hanging from the ceiling, seemed to writhe in a desperate attempt to mask the grime below. Cabaret, despite its powdery facade and elaborate costumes, revealed a dirty musk that was almost gleeful in its filth. This scent is undeniably captivating, an artistic fragrance that is both intriguing and sensual. The advertising campaign hit the mark perfectly, capturing the essence of this provocative perfume. I give it a high rating.
