California Réverie

I'm a huge fan of white and yellow florals! This perfume stands out as my go-to, if I had to choose one signature scent. Among my many favorites, this one and HW by Amouage are at the top. It's amazing on my skin - not cheap or ordinary, yet surprisingly easy to wear. Although neroli isn't usually my thing, it disappears quickly for me, which is a blessing! 🌼 I rarely rebuy fragrances, but I make an exception for this one. If anyone has one they no longer want and wants to swap, I'm open to it - not all of my perfumes are on display, but close enough! This scent is a unique blend of creamy sweetness, smooth florals that defy the typical springtime bouquet. The only minor drawback is its rapid fade, but reapplying isn't necessary given how much I adore it.

California Reverie's initial floral notes are pleasant, yet it fails to maintain its presence, rapidly losing strength and coherence within the initial moments. Unimpressive value for the price in my opinion 😐

A pleasant yet unremarkable fragrance that fails to impress. While it shares similarities with other scents like Sunny Side Up from Juliette Has A Gun, Orchid Soleil from Tom Ford and La Femme Prada, I don't see the resemblance to Gucci Bloom Nettare di Fiori, which doesn't seem to share a similar character. California Reverie's sillage and longevity are underwhelming, making it overpriced in my opinion. If you're seeking a calming summer fragrance, there are better and more affordable options available.

So overpowering and intensely bitter on me. I was expecting a light, refreshing summer scent based on reviews, but unfortunately, it's overwhelmingly bitter instead. It's as if the crispness and freshness are absent, replaced by an unpleasant bitterness that dominates the senses. This is antithetical to my expectations of a fresh or gourmand fragrance.

It's lovely, but its longevity leaves something to be desired; it barely lasts an hour, even when applied to well-hydrated skin.
