Notes

Can Can is a playful and charming perfume that showcases its prominent notes of black currant, wild orchid, and amber. The harmonious blend of these notes yields a delectable fruit-sweet fragrance with hints of cotton candy and caramel/toffee in the background, which explains why it's often likened to Pink Sugar. While Can Can is indeed sweet and has decent longevity, I find Pink Sugar to be overpowering and overly saccharine. In contrast, Can Can strikes a perfect balance, making it my preference between the two.
This perfume has a sweet, sugary quality to it that I find quite endearing, but I do wish it would linger on the skin for a bit longer and project more prominently.
I purchased this perfume in 2009 prior to developing a deeper understanding of fragrances. At the time, I was unaware of their potential to evoke pleasant sensations. My intention was to use it sparingly on myself or as a car freshener. The scent is reminiscent of a fruit cocktail with artificial amber. Notably, the synthetic amber note has an adverse effect on me, which unfortunately is also the case whenever I encounter it in other perfumes. One redeeming quality I can attribute to this perfume is the nostalgic value it holds for me, as it reminds me of fond memories from my freshman year in college and a past romantic relationship.
This perfume has a pink sugar-like scent to me, but with an added sweetness that's quite overpowering and reminiscent of cheap fragrances... I know it's budget-friendly, but the smell is simply too cheap, unpleasantly cloying, and overwhelming for my taste buds. Additionally, I detect a hint of Prada Candy Kiss in the dry down, which only adds to its nauseating quality. It's a shame because I genuinely enjoy her original perfume and was hoping to find a nice, affordable option for winter, but I think I'll just stick with Cloud instead... UPDATE: Oh wow, I've had a complete change of heart! 🤯 After wearing it again, I adore this scent. The best way to describe it is sweet, juicy, and subtly musky without being overwhelming. It doesn't require layering (a mistake I made initially), so any unscented lotion will do. This perfume can be worn year-round, although it might be a bit too sweet for extremely hot temperatures - I'll test that out when the time comes. What's more, it lasts all day and doesn't smell cheap or youthful (I'm 26), but instead, fun and playful. 😊
I'm utterly enchanted with my latest perfume purchase! It bears an uncanny resemblance to Fantasy by Britney Spears, capturing the same essence in a bottle. I'm thoroughly besotted with its robust presence and remarkable longevity. This is already my second Paris Hilton fragrance, and she has yet again exceeded my expectations!
