Finally succumbed to the allure after years of tantalizing possibilities. Truthfully, it's an unparalleled entity in its genre. Unlike previous experiences with Tubereuse Criminelle, which always lost my interest once the mentholated top notes dissipated and transformed into a predictable, lackluster scent, Carnal Flower maintains its green, jungly, and stem-like character throughout, boasting an impressive longevity. Moreover, it boasts a rich, full-bodied quality that is intensely alluring. Notably, I've come to realize my distaste for gourmands, as all my beloved perfumes possess a dangerous allure, and Carnal Flower is no exception β its pungent aroma is undeniably intoxicating in the best possible way!
This perfume has an unconventional name that belies its energetic and crisp blend of fresh white florals. The opening is incredibly airy, with a burst of freshness reminiscent of cutting a flower straight from the garden. I wouldn't describe this scent as dark or sensual; instead, it's more like a joyful bouquet or a carefree stroll through a field of blooms on a sunny day. The floral notes are intensely pure and unadulterated, making for a captivating fragrance that doesn't feel particularly androgynous to me. I'm actually torn about purchasing this scent! πΌπ
Carnal Flower has a prominent tuberose presence, accompanied by subtle hints of eucalyptus and a sun-kissed quality π, which I assume is derived from the coconut note. While I find this fragrance pleasant, I'm not entirely convinced it's exceptional π.
One aspect of this perfume I truly appreciate is its bold and pungent tuberose note, which makes a striking impression with its unapologetic presence... the carnation accord adds a unique character that sets it apart from others.
Most extraordinary perfume I've had the pleasure of encountering. The tuberose note is strikingly heavy yet transforms into something mesmerizing and otherworldly, making it an immersive experience. It's a fragrance that demands attention; I would caution against wearing it around those who might not appreciate its nuances.
