Reviews

This fragrance bursts with a sweet and fruity aroma at the beginning, showcasing notes of pomegranate, strawberry, and ginger. As it progresses, I detect a milky violet floral note, which adds a unique twist to the scent. While the perfume remains fruity, it shifts towards a warmer, gourmand quality with the introduction of wood, giving off a subtle, sticky sensation reminiscent of popcorn. Despite this unusual aspect, the fragrance maintains its playful and youthful essence, making it suitable for summer wear, both day and night. The dry down is rounded out by a fresh lemon note that complements the bakery-popcorn undertones, resulting in an unexpected yet pleasant combination. Overall, ChicPetals is a lighthearted, easy-to-enjoy fragrance with simple charm, although it may lack depth and longevity.

One would expect 'Petals' to be heavily floral-scented given its name. Unfortunately, that's not the case. In fact, I'm underwhelmed with Cheap & Chic's recent releases as they lack the charm of their earlier ones. This particular fragrance is a chaotic blend of fruity and woody notes, but the dominant sensation I get is rotten strawberries and rhubarb. The musk note kicks in unexpectedly and lingers throughout, making it feel overpowering and cloying. Although it starts strong, the scent's longevity is relatively short-lived, lasting only a few hours. Overall, this line has been declining for some time now, which is disappointing considering I was fond of their earlier fragrances.

I purchased this perfume based on Shana J's review, whereupon it struck me as a predominantly pomegranate fragrance with a peculiar 'squeaky-teeth' sensation. While I didn't detect significant strawberry notes, the ginger was quite pronounced. The scent also exhibited watery and sour qualities, which, surprisingly, reminded me of cress. Unfortunately, this one failed to resonate with me... Its fleeting nature and poor projection were further drawbacks. Nevertheless, its uniqueness might make it an attractive option for those who adore pomegranate scents.

I thoroughly enjoy this perfume! I don't agree with those who claim it has synthetic notes because I simply don't detect them. Yes, it's a classic, non-offensive, fruity scent reminiscent of shampoo, but the blend is excellent - I can clearly pick out the pomegranate and ginger notes, and the subtle green undertones make it incredibly refreshing. Given its affordable price point, I actually prefer this to many Bath & Body Works body sprays. It lasts all day on me and is perfect for warm weather.

Muy fruity and refreshing, and unlike what other users say, it's not at all similar to previous Moschino scents... A bit like the hippie-chic vibe of True Religion.
