Back in my day, one of my classmates wore this as her go-to fragrance, and its distinctive aroma would hit me every time she sat beside me. For me, it was overwhelming - the scent felt like it was aggressively wafting towards my nose, forcing me to occasionally hold my breath just to avoid being overwhelmed. While it might have been fresh for a brief moment, prolonged exposure made it feel jarring and unpleasantly loud. Some people have likened it to cat pee, though I'm unfamiliar with that scent; what's clear is that the drydown of this perfume has an intense, blinding quality that isn't pleasing in the least.
My mom has been wearing this fragrance and it truly suits her well. Its radiant aroma is reminiscent of sweet citrus, offering a pleasant brightness without being too tart. Although I purchased the miniature bottle with the dabber applicator, I've noticed that the grapefruit note takes center stage for me. Initially, the scent presents itself as fresh, but towards the end of its duration, it veers slightly off-putting and salty.
I absolutely adore this fragrance! It was my first perfume ever as an adult, and now I can very much see why I loved it so much even back then. While some might consider it juvenile or overly fruity, I think it's extremely fun and playful, with a scent that lifts my spirits and brings me joy every time I wear it. I'll re-purchase this perfume until the day I die, as it's truly wonderful!
I purchased this scent while searching for a refreshing, citrus-based perfume suitable for scorching summer days. To my senses, it primarily features notes of lemon, sugar, and light musk, imparting a clean impression.
As someone who thoroughly enjoys D&G Light Blue and its intense counterpart, this perfume feels somewhat underwhelming to me. If you're seeking a less potent, more subdued version of Light Blue with reduced lemon notes, this could be the one for you. I acquired it with the intention of using my original D&G more conservatively, but unfortunately, it doesn't quite meet my expectations. As a standalone fragrance, it is light, refreshing, and straightforward, essentially being Light Blue without its bold lemon note, replaced by orange instead. If you're looking for an affordable alternative, I suggest trying this one out. However, if you prefer a more pungent, ambroxan-rich scent, stick with Light Blue Intense. Despite not being exceptional, this fragrance is still worth considering as an option. It's perfect for warm weather.
