Notes

It begins with a distinctive grapefruit note, accompanied by peach, jasmine, cassis, and musk. While these ingredients might suggest a saccharine, feminine scent, the overall aroma I experience is a vague fusion of floral and fruity notes that fails to impress me.
I was anticipating a rich, opulent scent with incense, woods, and spices, given the name Cleopatra, but instead I found a sweet and youthful fragrance that's more reminiscent of a carefree student learning Latin and Greek. The aroma opens with a burst of sweet fruits - grapefruit, black currant, and wine notes - making it perfect for warm weather. While it's not too heavy or overpowering, the scent is still sweet and lingers for a while, with a subtle peach undertone emerging later on. The floral notes are straightforward and reminiscent of old-fashioned florals, with tuberose and jasmine taking center stage. The jasmine is particularly prominent and feels like a natural fit given Egypt's association with Cleopatra. It's a sensual but still youthful jasmine that's more about being pretty than mature. As the scent dries down, it transitions into a subtle base of amber, musk, and patchouli, which would have been more intense if not for its soapy and delicate nature. The dry down is surprisingly weak, with the musk taking center stage as a simple, warm note. Overall, I prefer the opening and heart notes to the dry down, but it's not a bad scent - just a bit bland. It's a good introduction to fruity florals, though.
A captivating blend of scents, this perfume presents as a harmonious balance of musk, freshness, fruitiness, and florals, with patchouli taking center stage at first, yet mercifully yielding to a ravishing musky peach and tuberose aroma once dry. The subtle undertones of green and currant notes are indeed the masterstroke that elevates this fragrance to an alluring essence reminiscent of a charming young woman who is universally admired.
The fragrance doesn't quite resonate with me, it feels familiar yet lacks a personal connection. While I can appreciate its craftsmanship, the individual notes don't align with my preferences.
This perfume presents itself as a refined fruity-musky blend, albeit familiar, yet its meticulous craftsmanship makes it worthwhile even for those who already possess similar scents. It's particularly suited for warm weather and office settings due to its subtle nature. Initially, I was taken aback by its stunning beauty, almost moved to tears. While it loses some of its charm on my skin, I still appreciate it on myself. In fact, every perfume collection should include a soft, musky, girly fragrance like Cleopatra, which I highly recommend for this very reason. What's more, there's an underlying note of alcohol that might typically be a drawback, but in this case, I find it actually complements the overall scent.
