Once again, I've had the pleasure of ordering a sample from the decant shop and discovering this exceptional fragrance from Kilian. It's no surprise that Kilian has excelled in crafting some of the finest Gourmands, but what's remarkable about this scent is its departure from the typical Gourmand profile. The initial impression is reminiscent of bold red gum, which piques my interest. I was eager to acquire more of this gem, so I purchased a 12ml bottle from Universal Perfumes and Cosmetics (nicheperfumeoils.com), and I'm thrilled that they offer an identical scent at a fraction of the original cost.
This fragrance is truly exceptional. If you're looking to receive praise, this is the best one, exuding elegance and distinctiveness while lasting a long time. Among my extensive collection, it's the most highly praised. It boasts notes of cedarwood, crispness, sexiness, and uniqueness.
When I recall my younger years as a smoker, I'd often store Canadian Tobacco in an Apple slice to keep it fresh. That scent memory suddenly came flooding back when I sprayed the perfume. On application, I was struck by another memory - that of a suave and menacing figure, who'd indulge in premium booze and salty tobacco while dressed in stylish attire. His car's peculiar odor, reminiscent of chlorinated something, suggested he may have conducted some illicit activities within its leather-lined interior, much like Teddy Bass from Sexy Beast. The scent exudes an air of reptilian danger, which I find intriguing. The subtle undertones of moldiness add a sense of bygone menace, making it a truly captivating fragrance.
I picked up this bottle in 2015, and since then I've been on a mission to find something comparable to this iconic scent 😊. Initially, the perfume was so striking that I couldn't wear it to work - but over time, it has evolved into a more subtle, intimate fragrance. The smell itself transports me back to my 20s, recalling late-night dates in bars and cozy chats with girlfriends in the kitchen 🍷. It also brings back memories of Moscow's cab rides, which always had a distinctive smoke scent 🔥. I regret not being able to replace it as my bottle is running low - even my husband requests that I wear it at home 💕! Update: I tried The Dua Singapore after watching a YouTuber, but it was a huge disappointment 😐. It's nothing like the original and has an unpleasant smell 🚫. A better alternative is Replica by OilPerfumery, but if you're looking for something closer to this masterpiece, Fakoshima's Tear You Apart is your best bet - even though it lacks its beautiful floral notes 💯.
