Reviews

Not everyone's skin type is alike, nor do their noses respond identically to fragrances. Initially, I was excited about this scent, but upon application, the vetiver struck me as overpowering and acrid, leaving a lasting impression on my senses. In fact, it's so dominant that I'm surprised it didn't receive more attention in the top three ingredient votes. For me, its presence is overwhelming, triggering an unpleasant headache. Meanwhile, I detect little to no roses, cinnamon, or honey – only a sharp, piercing sensation.

This perfume is a stunning representation of honeyed and spiced rose with woody undertones, absolutely captivating. I'm surprised it took me so long to discover its beauty, as it has the potential to shine particularly well during the cold winter months. I'm thrilled to have added this lovely scent to my collection.

In the past, I would receive my desired perfume promptly with a personalized touch, accompanied by a note inside the box that read "this bottle was carefully prepared for you by...". Nowadays, it takes them two weeks to notify me via email that the perfume is out of stock and they will proceed with a refund as soon as possible. Luxury brands typically excel in every aspect of customer experience. Unfortunately, Amouage has deviated from its luxury roots and now prioritizes mass market appeal over customer respect, which is disheartening for former fans like myself.

Spectacular spicy-rose fragrance that boasts an intense presence, courtesy of its robust cinnamon and pepper accords, which manifest as a fiery blaze subtly tempered by the sweetness of honeyed rose. As the scent evolves, it transitions into a drier, more woody phase, where the warmth is tempered by notes reminiscent of rum or whiskey, ultimately yielding a deeply earthy and potent fragrance.

My personal take on Crimson Rocks doesn't align with the collective opinion. I'm not a huge fan of rose notes - no matter how you mix them, they're just okay in my book. The classic, cliché essence of roses is hard to shake off, making it challenging to break free from convention. Unfortunately, I don't think this perfume did enough to innovate and impress me. It's pleasant, but not particularly memorable 🙃
