I received this perfume several months ago, but all I noticed was a strong cumin-like sweat. It turned me off immediately. However, when I wore it again recently, my mind kept bringing up that cumin odor, but my friend commented on how fruity and pleasant it smelled. It's crazy how different people perceive fragrances differently! Now I can also detect the fruitiness, so I'm no longer worried about wearing it outside. The scent is quite bold for me, but in a good way. I wish I hadn't sold my Eau Sauvage after just one wear—I definitely regret that decision. I’ll make sure to buy another Cartier fragrance once this one is gone. This stuff is great!

The super spicy opening is striking. I appreciate the cumin note, and the transition into a drier phase is quite distinct to me. However, Declaration Parfum irks me unlike any other fragrance I've encountered. Unfortunately, it quickly becomes overwhelming, making it something I can't wear. After several attempts, I still find the overall effect disagreeable, as it consistently irritates my senses and leaves a stinging sensation in my nose and throat.

A dark and spicy aromatic scent. The initial impression was a bit artificial, but eventually, the unpleasant synthetic odor became more manageable. I particularly enjoy the presence of cumin and cardamom, along with peppery spices. The base notes consist of cedar, leather, and vetiver. Overall, it's a decent fragrance. God bless!

The scent opens with bitter orange and a dry, airy spice note, warm and radiant, sweetened just enough so that the spice doesn’t lose its edge. It dries down into a subtle animalic warmth and resinous depth. While I felt the original version was a bit thin and lacked sufficient warmth to balance it out, the Iso E really amplified the bitter orange and rose notes, pushing them to their limits. In the Parfum version, Ellena has thickened the top and midnotes while keeping the base low on musk, creating a radiant structure that feels smooth and rich—though the reliance on Iso E is less apparent now. It gives the impression of freshly ground spice in a mortar, where each aromatic facet seems to jump out and meet your nose as you grind it. The support from warm benzoin, woods, and balsams below adds depth and warmth, making it feel more substantial than its predecessor. It still carries an austere quality but is less so than before, suggesting it could now appeal to a well-dressed 30-year-old as much as it does the older crowd. Overall, it’s impressive—arguably one of the best warm spice aromatic perfumes on the market today.

This is a beautiful and musky, slightly animalic scent. However, this perfume doesn’t linger long on my skin, so I’ve had to reapply multiple times throughout the day. While it’s nice overall, it lacks staying power.
