A pleasingly subtle floral-rosy perfume.
My first D&G fragrance purchase was a blind buy, and now I'm really regretting it. It's supposed to be a rose scent, but I have to say, I'm pretty disappointed. The initial burst of fresh, fruity-florals is nice—papaya blossoms and neroli mix with musk for that first hit of freshness. But then, within an hour, the white musk and cashmere notes take over, making it feel like you just stepped out of the bath after lathering up in cashmere soap. I was expecting more from the base, but sandalwood is nowhere to be found. The drydown has that powdery finish with aquatic green and cashmere notes, giving it a soft, almost soapy quality. It's pleasant enough, but nothing special, especially for the price. If you're after a genuine rose fragrance, Bvlgari Rose is a much better bet. The bottle is stunning, but the scent itself feels average—gentle and feminine with light musk and cashmere. It's versatile enough to wear anytime, though spring or summer might bring out more of its charm. Unfortunately, I won't be reaching for this one often. It's already making its way to the back of my perfume collection, where it's only pulled out as a last resort. Honestly, I'm considering selling it instead of keeping it around.
Has a fresh and pleasant rose scent in its top notes. Doesn't last long but has a nice fragrance overall.
I came across some pretty harsh reviews for this perfume but ended up liking it anyway—surprising, considering I wasn't expecting much from a new release. As a lifelong rose gardener, that's always an interesting perspective. The scent is a blend of white flowers and roses with a subtle lemon hint, even though there's no citrus listed. It reminds me of those stronger rose-citrus fragrances but without the overwhelming bouquet. Clean and refreshing, it feels truly like a perfume, which I appreciate after some overly synthetic scents. The bottle is stunning, making it perfect for warmer days. If you love Florabotanica, this might be your next obsession—it's got that same fresh rose vibe. It lasts a few hours, especially when the weather heats up, and my husband gave it a big thumbs-up. Plus, the Sophia Loren video is such a fun addition to the experience!
The add for this is beautiful. The ad for this is stunning.
