In my opinion Dunhill is one of the most underrated houses with so many under the radar modern-day as well as vintage fragrances. I wanted to review this calssic from early 80's just because so many of us have either used in our youth or have childhood memories of someone around us wearing it... Although launched in 1984, this elegant fragrance still remains relevant and very much in style for the modern man. Opening notes are slightly zesty and floral but it eventually sattles down as very green vetiver, oak moss and cedar base. It is an all weather all occasion evergreen fragrance for all types of indoor and outdoor activities.. Few sprays are enough to last 6 to 8 hrs easily.. I think Dunhill Edition should be a part of every fragrance enthusiast collection...
Legendary, very unique, rare and definitely a masterpiece. Took me years to find, I saw it on sell in an online store, didn't hesitate to buy it. Everything seems to be right, flowers, lemon and vetiver. 10/10 for this work of arts.
Used it for a very short period of time. beautiful opening classic barbershop cologne BUT that cigarette smell in the dry down is stinky. reminds me of my uncle who smokes 3 packs of red Winston everyday.
I'm reviewing the made in USA version. I haven't tested anything more vintage than that but everyone needs to calm down-- this is what we have now. I think it's really not bad. The nutmeg is a big part of it, it's warm and spicy which lingers for some time. There is no tobacco in this but you'd be forgiven for thinking there might be. I think it's a combination of the nutmeg and actually, carnation. That's what my nose is telling me, it has that combination of sweet and earthy that tobacco gives. Also getting the lavender and sage, which add an herbal dimension. This is a warm, spicy, inviting, masculine, fragrance and on me, it performs pretty well. A solid like, and for the price, you could do a lot worse.
