Escentric 05

This Escentric fragrance is a standout among its peers - it's the first one I've tried where I (and others) can easily smell it without straining, and it even has more presence than usual. Even when applied sparingly, people nearby still picked up on it, which is rare for me! The longevity was impressive too, lasting all day long. When I take a whiff, evergreen trees and herbs come to mind; while I don't notice the fruit and floral notes, I appreciate the summery Mediterranean vibe they're going for 🌿🏖️

The opening notes of this fragrance feature a woody, masculine, and dark composition that eventually gives way to a pleasant and subtly sweet scent. The initial bergamot presence subsides, allowing soft floral elements to emerge. Overall, the fragrance strikes a harmonious balance between aromatic and woody accords. While I appreciate the unisex quality and natural feel of this perfume, I find it lacking in refreshing properties and dynamics that are still unfolding. While it may not resonate with my personal taste, I acknowledge its coherence and craftsmanship. The sillage is substantial, and the longevity is impressive.

I think this one might appeal to me. I tested Molecule 05 and Escentric 05 on paper today, and the experience was thoroughly captivating. Initially, I thought Escentric 05 started off pleasant enough, with a citrusy quality that wasn't particularly remarkable. Compared to my recent acquisition of Escentric 02, I didn't find it as unique or impressive. At this point, I couldn't pick out any cashmeran, and it seemed indistinguishable from the other piece of paper with Molecule 05 on it. Molecule 05 opened with a mysterious and fascinating scent reminiscent of wet wood, but this phase was short-lived! Within a minute or two, it transformed into something like damp earth, leaving me unsure why anyone would want to smell like soil. At this point, I thought Escentric 05 was pleasant but uninteresting, while Molecule 05 started out nice before turning disappointing. I put both papers away. Fifteen to thirty minutes later, I revisited them, and Escentric 05 still smelled citrusy, with the scent having faded slightly. I could now detect faint cashmeran, which was not unpleasant; it seemed to be that woody aspect of the smell, rather than the dirt-like quality. Molecule 05, on the other hand, had transitioned back to its wood-like phase, but this time it was cozy and aromatic, with a hint of sweetness. After another half hour, Molecule 05 had settled into that lovely, cozy wood-like phase, while Escentric 05 now smelled almost identical, with mostly cashmeran, warm, and comforting. There was a slight difference due to a faintly floral note, but it was largely dominated by cashmeran. I'm thinking I want this because the drydown seems lovely, with plenty of cashmeran, without going through Molecule 05's initial wild ride.

Fragrances featuring ferns, citrus, sweetness, labdanum, musk, and rich earthy undertones come together to create a delectable scent. I give this perfume a perfect score of 10/10 across the board, and its harmonious blend is sure to delight my senses. Additionally, it pairs exquisitely with Molecule 01, resulting in an instant infatuation upon first sniff 😊

Escentric 05 is a well-known woody aromatic scent that opens with a refreshing, zesty bergamot and orange accord 🌞. The middle notes of rosemary and other herbs add a spicy, herbal dimension 👃. This powerful combination ensures excellent longevity for this spring/summer fragrance ✨. When layered with Molecule 05, Escentric 05 is like a backup singer whose harmonies elevate the main melody 💫. In the dry down, the woodiness of this blend resonates, becoming even more earthy and resinous than when worn alone 🌿.
