Elegant and refined, this scent embodies the essence of a sophisticated gentleman soaking up the sun-kissed Mediterranean coast. The timeless DNA of Colonia harmonizes beautifully with a richer, more woody undertone. ๐ด๐
Classy Mediterranean barbershop scent, perfectly suited for me in terms of notes and brand. I purchased a sample to try it out. First wear: The opening is characterized by light, metallic citrus and florals, with green herbs making an appearance. At first, I primarily detect neroli and grapefruit, but they seem to fade away over time. To be honest, Essenza is just... decent. I was expecting to love it, but it's merely average for me. Second wear: There's something about this scent that gives it a dated "old perfume" quality. The oakmoss could be the culprit behind this. People often recognize neroli's presence and vote for it as an ingredient, but don't let this fool you into thinking Essenza is a neroli fragrance through and through. In conclusion, Essenza smells eerily like artisanal soap that has been crafted in an Italian village since the 1920s. While I'd love to wash my hands with this, as a fragrance... no, it's a disappointment for me. Edit: Upon further testing, I noticed that on clothes, Essenza gives off the same "grandma's garden" feel as Floris 89, which is overwhelmingly unpleasant.
This perfume has a rich floral scent reminiscent of a lush bouquet. While the floral notes are overpowering to me, I found it surprising that it's challenging to try this fragrance even in Munich, Germany. In my opinion, this perfume leans towards being unisex. ๐๐
Ok, the Neroli Italian Gentleman scent is this: best neroli I've ever smelled, had it been a few years older, it would have been my go-to signature. It's clean and soapy, with sweet undertones still fresh and floral, yet maintaining its masculinity without being overpowering like Dior Sauvage. The aroma feels very natural and premium, as you'd expect from a niche brand. In short, I purchased this for someone who isn't into fragrances and they loved it; it's perfect for men aged 35+ or younger if they dress formally and stylishly.
The scent bears a soap-like similarity. Nevertheless, I find the aroma utterly captivating! The citrus and clean notes evoke an uplifting and timeless fragrance that leaves little to be desired. While it may not break new ground, I firmly believe that AdP has perfected this type of scent. In my opinion, it is an absolute must-have.
