Reviews

I'm not picking up on any powdery or fluffy notes in this fragrance, instead it presents itself as a crisp, fresh iris with an interesting aldehydic twist. Interestingly, I do detect some carrot undertones at the onset. This is an exceptional perfume that has won me over so much that I've upgraded from the travel size to the full bottle. It's office-friendly and receives numerous compliments.

Sampled Fleur de peau initially and wasn't impressed, given my dislike for powdery perfumes. However, after holding the fragrance beyond its initial presentation...I found myself repeatedly sniffing it and being transported back to a nostalgic era. This scent truly evokes an emotional response when worn. While it shares makeup-like DNA, Fleur de peau is surprisingly refined. The aroma is reminiscent of cherubic innocence, yet sharp in its delivery – mesmerizing and numbing at the same time. I find myself uplifted by this perfume, as if returning home to a carefree past where I'd rummage through my mom's makeup case, discovering an enticing fuchsia lipstick that almost beckoned me to take a bite due to its captivating scent. If you're familiar with this sensation, you'll understand. The incorporation of Turkish rose in this blend is particularly noteworthy, imbuing the fragrance with an air of sophistication and lusciousness.

This perfume is an instant time capsule that whisks me away to the 90s.

Another perfume with a pronounced musk quality, albeit one that leans towards aldehydic notes. Unlike some other perfumes of this ilk, such as Glossier You or Liis Studied, this scent is robust and long-lasting. It has an old-school charm to it, reminiscent of vintage fragrances, but when I'm in the right mindset, I find it pleasant.

Diptyque has succeeded in crafting a non-intrusive, powdery fragrance that's surprisingly enjoyable. Despite my general aversion to powdered scents, this one is pleasingly refined and evocative of freshly bathed skin with a gentle dusting of powder applied with a puff. It exudes an air of sophistication and cleanliness, making it suitable for any occasion or setting, including the office.
