A timeless blend of classic floral and aldehydic notes, with a subtle hint of incense that adds depth to the scent. The dry down is particularly noteworthy for its pronounced civet undertones, which I find alluring. If you're fond of perfumes like No5, Arpege, or Caleche, this one is definitely worth exploring.
I'd greatly value your opinion if you've had a chance to compare Gold for Men with this perfume. Do you think they share similar characteristics or are they distinct in some way? 🤔
It's fascinating how varying scents unfold on different individuals. For me, this perfume prominently features orris, which translates to a robust powderiness on my skin. The civet is also noticeable, yet subtle, much like its adorable representation in the "notes" images. I do detect lily of the valley, but the powdery notes overpower the other elements. Disappointingly, I don't pick up much smoke or incense, which I was hoping for. If this were present, I'd appreciate it more. If you adore and cherish classic, big, powdery, rosy vintages reminiscent of a feisty diva from the 1940s - then seek out this perfume's sample. It embodies those qualities and wears similarly. This fragrance is, objectively, lovely, but not suited to my taste preferences. I envision this scent on a flamboyant woman who adores red lipstick, uses grand gestures while speaking, and flaunts an array of jewelry. This is perfect for someone with unbridled confidence, old-Hollywood flair, and a penchant for making a dramatic entrance - in essence, a person whose character I'd relish befriending, even if I couldn't personally identify with their style.
I've finally grasped the concept of a "sillage monster" perfume. Frankly, I couldn't be more thrilled!
The scent has a notable similarity to MUM deodorant.
