Heat Wild Orchid

This one is very fruity with a tropical fruit cocktail explosion at the start then mellowing out to amber coconutty woodsy skin scent at the end! I just love this and think its the best of the Heat line :) and it lasts a while on my skin which is unusual as I cant seem to keep perfumes on me! Bottle colour is nice but shape is a bit meh for me! Top marks for Beyonce!

Just bought this. I was really, really surprised to see that vanilla is not even listed in the notes. I totally agree with SillySue, this perfume smells mostly like vanilla. I do detected a tangy smell (the pomegranate probably, or that boysenberry thing?)...but honestly I never owned a perfume with such a quick/gone opening...in 2 minutes, this smell was gone, and I all I could smell was vanilla... I do not hate it but it won't become one of my favorites for sure...

A lovely, light and easier to wear fragrance. This is a little floral, but mainly I get an airy coconut water smell. A little more watery than traditional "tropical" fragrances which means it is suitable for all year round. A nice casual daytime scent. Lasting power is quite poor. I get around 2-3 hours at most.

Ah yes, the phenomenon of "celebrity fragrances"has allowed people who make a little money to smack their name onto an otherwise mediocre scent and have it sell anyway.... Where was I? Ah, Beyonce's "Heat Wild Orchid" smells like very sweet hot berries, I got the vision of red berries and I am not surprised its boysen, although its not a fruit we find here in the tropics so I just thought "sugary berry". This is a skin scent guys, it does not project well like most of Beyonce's offerings, besides "Midnight Heat" on me. The coconut note....I do not smell. I am surprised its in the top tier and I do get a marked creaminess from the perfume too. Its an innocuous scent and I get the idea one has to spray quite a lot to get projection. Longevity is about 4 to 6 hours and by then it dries down to a nice powder. I think a teenager could wear this! I won't buy it but congratulations to those who wear and love it! UPDATE: Ok ok, so I went back on my word to myself and bought "Heat Wild Orchid." The thing is, I LOVE orchids okay. Hence, it was tempting....and this fragrance goes at a fraction of the cost in our local beauty shop, in other places it's $350TT-400TT and I got it for $149TT, I had to get it. Its light, orchidy and sweet, mellow and vanillary. I wish they could up on the musk though. Not a strong fragrance, like a shy woman's sexuality. I am yet to test it because you can't really tell by just spritzing your wrists. Got to wear it on the pulse points. In any regard....sigh.... it's mine. Although light it's not for young girls (yep I've changed my mind on the first opinion too). I bought it before our national budget got read, ha ha! UPDATE TWO: I really spritzed up today and I must say. These fragrances need ENERGY. Please, whomosever is making these scents STOP WATERING THEM DOWN. As an orchid lover this has shades of the orchid note in Britney Spears "Fantasy." This has greatness potential but it needs more OOMPH and that means more PERFUME and less water! Sillage is arm's length for the first two hours, after which it mellows down to a creamy skin scent which last 8 hours. For me, her bests are "Heat" and "Midnight Heat" for sure.

This is great--sexy, deep, musky, coconut--but lasts 2 hours MAX. No longevity here. I agree, it's the best of the line so it's such a shame it lasts for no time at all. I wear this one to bed since I know it'll be gone quickly.
