Warning: EMO sh*tpost: I found Escada IH at one of the perfume outlet shops at our mall... Walking past the window I saw three boxes of the 1 oz. - I told myself not to get too excited, and I should sample first. ("NO samples allowed.") Ok, understood. ("And NO returns allowed.") I looked at the box and held it for a good 5 minutes. $79... yikes. The guy knew I was searching for this for 18 years. (And that's probably how long it sat in that box.) Maybe I should have tried bartering? But I had to buy it, just to get closure. I would find out if all the available ones left are trashed as the other reviewers warn... If they are all knock offs or just soured. I knew I had to. Just to finally get closure on my past for the years I wore this fragrance (2003 to 2008) - after this I would no longer be searching for that past holy grail scent. I could let it go. The guy even warned me, "We have other fragrances that are newer...smelling similar to this one..." I told him no, this was an emotion-based purchase, connected to memories and experiences, taking me back almost two decades... he knew though, "Ok, well come back and I will give you a good deal b/c that one I cannot change, my boss set that price... like you say that one is old." I opened the box immediately. Everything looked legit. Nothing was flimsy. Even the feel of the bottle was right. Looking at the label carefully. Definitely NOT a knock off. I sprayed twice just to release the scent. Then sprayed twice on my arm... just musky powder. There was my answer. She's aged and soured. These old school Escada LEs don't hold up well (at least not until Coty bought them out...) Like a powdery musky sour floral with sour pear and just the HINT of watery lychee and red berries and roses. Like sour rose water and older musty smell. She was *BARELY* there. As others describe - definitely more "aquatic" and "gone off." I could have cried. It was like being visited by a ghost in a dream... I'll keep her in the box in the back of my closet, and only spray this ONCE in the shower when I'm really feeling nostalgic and heartbroken and ready for a good cry. I do feel I have some closure though. So that's good. The day Escada does a re-Release of IH though... **sigh**

This is you girl favvv scent. That lychee makes me wanna make out with the bottle. I LOVE IT.

This is a really good vacation fragrance. Do you like to bring perfume with you when you travel? I do. I love this for summer destinations: the titular Ibiza island, the Caribbean, the Bahamas, the Virgin Islands, Bermuda, Aruba, Hawaii. This is as others have pointed out such a tropical island perfume. It's not unisex despite the musk, and it has a big fruity floral body which was tailor made for the hippie beach girl who wears oversized sunglasses, usually has a guy to apply sun tan lotion on her and loves to sprawl herself on a beach towel and bask in the sun or by a pool on a chair. Laid back and lovely. This is fruity at the first spritz. I get all the fruit notes of peach, pear, currant, cranberry, and litchi. It's pretty juicy like a cocktail drink. The cranberry and currant are the big notes. A bit too much fruit but so delicious and summery. The rest of the time I smell the light florals of white freesia flowers. The dry down is slightly musky but mostly amber. It has a polished dry down like it boils down to a very clean and golden creamy amber. This is a gourmand fragrance as well. I would drink this liquid if I could. Sweet

This was my first perfume during college. I really loved this scent so much but I'm not sure that I can still get this in the market. I'm not sure if they discontinue. This is really good. really girly scent, fruity and sweet. I miss this! :)

A hippie that lacks patchouli?! Impossible!
