Icon Elite

OK I got the 3 Icons now, but I have not tried the original Icon yet, so I can only compare this one with the "Absolute" version, and they are totally different, I find this elite version pretty comfortable, not to fall on my "love" category, but good, I love the bottles of these flankers, they look very nice. I may do an update in regards performance and longevity, but so far I think it will be gone by the end of the day. At the end of the day, the fragrance was still present and had evolved very nicely, I will rate it at least 4 stars out of 5. Update: I finally got the 3 icons and I think this is the best of the 3, well I might need to wear more the original icon, but this one has brought compliments more than expected and men asking me what I was wearing, it has a great performance, and I think it has a better performance at night, and longevity is a beast, will last until next day at least on me. I may restock just in case, but this definitely stand out in a nice way.

To me it smells like a brand new pair of shoes straight out of the box. Undecided if I like it or not.

Alfred Dunhill Icon Elite Men EDP opens with a moderate projection of citrus, woody, and spicy accords. The opening is unique, nicely-blended, pleasant but soft. The citrus notes are delicious, the combination of bergamot, lime, and bitter orange creates a sharp sour touch where the bitter orange is at the top; unfortunately, the citruses are ephemeral. The woody accords are next and they are here to stay, the ebony wood is a noticeable note, black, fine wood and is quickly joined by the suede creating a unique scent. The suede is evocative of dry leather, not too strong, but noticeable. Then, the secondary notes, some sweetness from the sandalwood, the spiciness of the pepper and cardamom, and a pinch of vetiver. The fragrance has some significant opening to dry-down changes, the opening contains very sharp and sour citrus notes, particularly the bitter orange, but they fade away quickly, then the ebony and suede take the lead, going from a citrus to a woody fragrance, but in this process, the fragrance loses most of its initial projection, it becomes a faint scent. Once Alfred Dunhill Icon Elite Men EDP has reached its full dry-down, it can be summarized as a very soft, mildly sweet, ebony wood, suede, and sandalwood fragrance with spicy accords. The fragrance feels casual, common, disappointing, formal, inexpensive, light, low-quality, masculine, modern, nocturnal, short-lived, warm, weak, woody, and pleasant. BATCH REVIEWED: 2020. WOW RATING: 5/10. A great and unique scent but disappointingly short-lived. DISLIKE RATING: 1/10. The fragrance contains a noticeable woody and suede note. UNIQUENESS: 8/10. The combination of notes creates a unique scent, although faint. MASS APPEAL: 8/10. This is a fragrance that most people will appreciate. PROJECTION: 2/10. Low, mostly a personal space fragrance. SILLAGE: 3/10. Low, almost none. APPLICATION: 8 atomizations. LONGEVITY: 3/10. Low, less than 3 hours, it projects just for a few minutes. SEASONS: Winter, spring, fall, colder days, and climate-controlled environments. OCCASIONS: Formal events, outdoor gatherings, office, business, casual, holidays, vacations, romantic, dating. This is an office-friendly fragrance. VERSATILITY: 7/10. A nice, sweet, woody and soft suede fragrance, ideal for mild or cold weather. GENDER: Masculine, the woody, and suede accords lean it to the masculine side. AGES: Any. RECOMMENDATION: Alfred Dunhill Icon Elite EDP can be purchased for about $35. The scent itself is fantastic but its performance is beyond dissipating. It is a good fragrance if you don’t mind reapplying very frequently, it does not seem to be an EDP concentration. Not recommended. BLIND-BUY: Yes, but consider its poor performance. SIMILAR: These are examples of fragrance in the same genre. Juicy Couture Dirty English Men EDT is a faint, slightly sweet, woody, and leather fragrance; Valentino Uomo Intense EDP is good leather fragrance, but its longevity isn’t the best; Bond No 9 Bleecker St is a good fragrance with suede, green, earthy, herbaceous, and vegetable-like notes; Al Haramain Opulent Saffron EDP is a fantastic, sweet tonka, suede, almond, heliotrope and amber fragrance; Carolina Herrera CH Men EDT is a very good and versatile sweet, and dry leather fragrance; Giorgio Armani Code Absolu is a very good sweet, tonka, vanilla, mandarin, apple, and leathery fragrance; Guess Suede Men EDT is a very weak, sweet, suede, resinous, woody, and spicy fragrance; John Varvatos Vintage Men EDT is a masculine, sweet, tobacco, suede, spicy and herbaceous fragrance; Lacoste Eau De Lacoste L.12.12 Blanc Pure Men EDT is a faint, white sweet floral, and citrus fragrance; Parfums Vintage Exaltant Le Musc Intense EDP features suede, green violet leaf, herbaceous, and mossy notes; Alfred Dunhill Icon Elite Men EDP is very soft, mildly sweet, ebony wood, suede, and sandalwood fragrance. SUMMARY: A very soft, mildly sweet, ebony wood, suede, and sandalwood fragrance with spicy accords. The fragrance feels casual, common, disappointing, formal, inexpensive, light, low-quality, masculine, modern, nocturnal, short-lived, warm, weak, woody, and pleasant.

The definition of an office scent like most of the Icons. This should get more love i feel, its also stronger then the original one. For the price you a very nice scent.
