This is mostly images and atmosphere to me.... it reminds me of those old fairy toys where you pulled a string and they would spin around the room taking kid's eyes out.... this has the floral musk and dusty wooden corners of an average girly teenage bedroom.... things that I associate with Anna Sui perfumes. I feel this could be one of hers, just elevated. I swing between feeling this is 00s fresh to somehow antique..... It starts cool and slightly spicy. Peppery elemi and jasmine intensify until it smells almost hot after a few hours... blackcurrant leaf and incense is what makes this fairytale-like, capturing the vibe I wanted Enchanted Forest by The Vagabond Prince to have. Ethereal, gossamer qualities without a melange of aquatic florals... Weightless, despite noticeable castoreum and cumin. I see how someone might find similarities in la religieuse or relique d'amour... the atmosphere and delicacy in all three is quite similar. Others say it disappeared quickly but it lasted almost 10 hours on me. Pretty, underappreciated, nostalgic :)
There is something creamy and warm I like about this but it has that saliva smell that some perfumes have, not sure if it’s the musk, it also has a toiler paper bathroom vibe 😩😭 I was hoping to like it since the bottle is stunning
Super fresh and floral laundry detergent and then something animalic, like a loveable but smelly dog, or a sweaty body. Strange.
Delightful! It's hard to get a mental picture of this from the notes pyramid but I do recommend trying it. Great quality and depth are apparent immediately. To/on me this opens with (impression without notes) a bouyant mix of zippy, nose-perking spice/woods/florals. I thought of white pepper, cedar, iris & cardamom for the top. Very soon a buttery-sweet blend of white florals that I took for lily, not unlike the florals I get most in Majda's Fusion Sacre Lui, joins in and what a fun contrast it is! There's a cool greenness from the cassis & a certain aloofness I always get from papyrus, juxtaposed pleasingly with a warm spicy undertone that whispers secrets of what's to come in the next hours. The development brings more woods; as the fizzy floral mix I perceived as iris & cardamom moves to the background, a pleasantly dry, hollow-woody (light, like papyrus' lightness, not hollow as in lacking depth...) incense note takes the stage. Aromatic, beautifully woody yet still feminine. Also the pepper feels more pink now, creamy spicy with a sweet touch. A warm labdanum & toasted, soft cumin blend nicely through the woods. I don't specifically get the b.o. kind of cumin (which I love) so I wouldn't let that note put you off. Again I'm impressed with not only the quality of the ingredients but also the well-blended layering of so many notes. Another Majda win for me!
Terrible 😢 With no silage and long lasting
