Classic early 2000s rose-chouli with an unexpected unisex twist, achieved through its calming yet invigorating citrus aromatic opening notes, particularly the bergamot and lavender. This modern spin adds an androgynous and tomboyish touch to a familiar formula, reminiscent of Coco Mademoiselle but with a more carefree and unconventional approach. I appreciate this aspect as it offers a fresh alternative to the refined, sophisticated aura of Mademoiselle. I must admit that I'm not typically fond of rose-based perfumes, but this one has won me over. The dry down is slightly soapy, which may not be my preferred sensual or intense note, yet the patchouli's skanky aspect helps balance out this quality.
This scent combines the essence of JLo's Glo and the allure of Hermès' Twilly.
This scent is quite pleasant.
I adore Mad Madame from Juliette, yet this perfume utterly repels me. Its scent bears an uncanny resemblance to Fengyoujing, which I find equally repellent. Ugh! 😒
I stumbled upon an unopened full-size sample of Lady Vengeance in my stash - what a delightful surprise! 🎉 While it's not my top pick, the perfume has a certain charm to it. If I'm seeking a mood boost and want to feel fearless, this scent is perfect for me. On my skin, the patchouli takes center stage, making it distinct from other perfumes like Eau Capital, which features rose with patchouli notes. Here, the patchouli shines alongside musky ambroxan, while the rose provides a subtle backing harmony. I appreciate both aspects, but my personal preference is for a more natural rose scent - this difference keeps Lady Vengeance from becoming an absolute favorite of mine. Nevertheless, I enjoy it enough to consider adding a large decant or travel spray to my collection once the sample runs out, mainly due to its unique patchouli-forward profile. That being said, I think the full-bottle prices for JHAG perfumes are too steep for me - something that might deter me from making a larger purchase. Nevertheless, I believe Lady Vengeance is a safe yet edgy scent suitable for year-round wear in fragrance-friendly environments. Next up, I'd love to try Vengeance Extreme - I bet it's going to be wild! 🔥
