I just tried a sample of this perfume. The opening has a sweet, herbal mint flavor. The drydown has a strong animalic quality. It's similar to Le Male but with less sweetness, swapping cumin for more musk and adding unusual herbal notes. At least, it's an intriguing scent.
This perfume doesn’t do justice to the original masterpiece. It smells like a low-quality celebrity release. I’m shocked that JPG is still offering this.
If I were to immerse myself in this scent, within 30 minutes, I’d likely detect no trace of it remaining. It resembles the faint minty odor of a partially chewed piece of gum, which unfortunately doesn’t make for a pleasant experience. It truly seems like a considerable misuse of resources.
This perfume feels unique because it’s so close to Le Beau, especially with its strong lime note. The only difference is that this one is labeled as male, while the other isn’t. Both fragrances are lime-dominant, but this one has a smoother texture, which might make it better if it weren't for its lackluster performance. I don’t pick up much lavender, but there’s a earthy, musky quality that gives it a creamy vibe. Both scents feel modern and sophisticated, evoking images of a stylish guy in a suit with a unique charm. They’re both good, though they’re nothing like the original Le Male fragrance. Unfortunately, the performance is disappointing—it just doesn’t have the staying power you’d expect. It’s almost like a masterpiece that fell short, leaving me wishing it could be better. If you already own Le Beau without the "male" in the name, this feels redundant with its dialed-back green notes. It’s so close to being great but not quite there. Overall, while it has potential, the poor performance makes it hard to recommend unless you're willing to invest heavily. This is one of those fragrances where you can see the vision but it doesn’t fully deliver—almost a cultural misstep in the industry. I’d say pass on it unless you’re hoping for a reformulation. **Scent:** 8/10 **Performance:** 4/10 **Uniqueness:** 8/10 **Value:** 6/10 **Overall:** 6.5/10
I purchased this one, and I’m pretty let down. The scent is decent, but the longevity isn't great, and it doesn’t project well. In my opinion, it lacks both projection and staying power compared to something like Le Male, which is a lot better in those aspects.
