I recall the moment I first wore this fragrance, it was a life-changing experience in May 2005 - my life became busier but more vibrant and positive. Even years later, I can relive those emotions. This perfume truly is incredibly fresh. The scent of real honeysuckle is so pronounced, it's as if you're breathing in its sweetness at the very heart of this enchanting flower. What's more, I've received countless compliments when wearing this fragrance, and I still have an unopened 100ml bottle with its signature yellowish orange bow tie intact.
Of the entire Annick Goutal line, I consider this perfume to be my top choice. I'm particularly fond of green notes and I believe this one stands out as an exceptional example. I share lovelylavender's opinion that it has a sweet yet subtle character, which is further enhanced by its straightforward simplicity, making it truly remarkable. However, I do have a minor concern - the fragrance doesn't linger for too long on the skin.
This perfume exudes a distinctly feminine and light character, with a freshness that's both invigorating and airy. However, I find it overwhelming due to its overpowering green notes - unfortunately, it doesn't quite suit my taste. 🌿😔
This green and zesty take on honeysuckle is a bit of an unexpected twist for me, as I was expecting something sweeter. Nevertheless, I find this perfume to be lovely, despite its tartness being a bit overwhelming for my sensitive nose. The scent predominantly reminds me of crushed lemon leaves and a squeeze of citrusy lemon juice, with a hint of honeysuckle in the background. It's perfect for warm weather, such as spring or summer. I'm currently wearing it on a sweltering hot day and still enjoying its charm despite not being entirely what I had hoped for. Like most Annick Goutal citrus perfumes, this one doesn't have an impressive longevity or projection, but its delightful character makes me suggest buying a bottle if you're fond of the scent.
The honeysuckle is strikingly vivid and evocative in this fragrance, a characteristic that Annick Goutal's scents often exhibit, drawing inspiration from nature. Initially, the honeysuckle takes center stage, with the jasmine playing a supporting role, its subtlety requiring attention to detect. I found it interesting how I could occasionally isolate the jasmine and then experience it in harmony with the honeysuckle. The lemon soon enters the picture, presenting itself as both tangy and sweet, while the petit grain introduces a dry, grassy quality. Once the lemon is introduced, it remains present throughout, gradually dominating the composition by eclipsing the honeysuckle's presence and obscuring the jasmine's subtlety. The honeysuckle and jasmine persist for approximately half an hour before fading, leaving behind a gentle lemon and soft, feminine nuances that linger for another hour.
