The instant attraction I felt upon smelling this perfume! A generous friend shared a sample with me, and I must say, it has earned a spot in my "favorite" category. After wearing it for several days, I can confidently declare that its beauty is truly captivating.
I was surprised by a thoughtful gift from my sibling, which initially left me perplexed. However, as I gave it some time, the fragrance transformed into a captivating orange blossom-based white floral scent. I'm grateful to my sister for her generosity in sharing this perfume with me. In my opinion, this perfume is best suited for individuals who embody an elegant and sophisticated style or aspire to convey that aura...Incidentally, the packaging and longevity are truly impressive! 💕
Patchouli and linden tea dominate my nostrils with their presence, accompanied by a cloying sweetness that fails to impress me. Unfortunately, this scent didn't resonate with me, and it's not a fragrance I would consider purchasing or wearing regularly. I acquired it as a sample when buying another perfume from one of the larger department stores.
I yearn for a syrupy orange blossom aroma. To me, this perfume is reminiscent of the way orange blossom is often done in laundry powder. It bears similarities to TF Soleil Brûlant and Levant by Ormonde Jayne, as far as I've heard. Le Parfum Essentiel and In White have more mature undertones; it's not something a 20-year-old would wear, but someone of 30 or 40 years old with sophistication might appreciate this. I haven't tried the OG Le parfum, but I doubt I will. Notably, I find myself appreciating this more on the second try. The first time, it was overwhelmingly sharp and unpleasant. This scent is reminiscent of doing a man's laundry - it smells like his shirt or spot treating one of his clothes, surrounded by fresh laundry detergent powder. While this perfume leans more feminine, those who enjoy laundry scents should definitely sample it. However, if Elie Saab orange blossom suits you sweetly, your experience will likely be different from mine and some other reviewers'.
This fragrance exudes a distinctly honeyed quality, reminiscent of a softer, modern interpretation of Jill Sander No. 24. The orange blossom, jasmine, and amber notes are prominent, while vanilla provides subtle depth. Although individual elements don't initially stand out, they blend together seamlessly, radiating sophistication. This would be an excellent choice for a wedding fragrance, particularly in white, echoing the beauty of Elie Saab's designs.
