This is good stuff. Le parfum is basically the og in the line to this flanker layered with a leather noted fragrance like TF Ombré leather or ck defy edp. The og to this is citrusy, lite fresh spicy. I can smell that in this with leather added to it. I see leather isn’t mentioned here in the notes but there must be a combination of notes here that make a leather scent. It works good. The og to me is an elegant all season freshie (not blue style frag). And this one just adds to the elegance making more of a dress up & date time frag tho I don’t just limit fragrances to certain times or moments because I’ve come to the point to just wearing what I want when I want. I think this could be all seasons as well. Maybe not high heat humid times. It’s not sweet but just has a darkness to it because of the leather but maybe one or two sprays mixed with something lighter and u may get away with it in summer. Especially in climate controlled places. It’s good for the office for sure. It’s fresh, citrus/spice, leather.
Blind bought this one a month ago, pretty hard to find time/season to wear this one since I live in tropical country. But overtime I learned to love this one, especially on cooler night or indoor air conditioned room, this one really steals the show. The presentation is simply beautiful. I found this one to be a little bit, just a slightly animalic on my skin. Still it’s really great purchase for the price. Love it!
This is really good for the price it can be found at. Smells very pleasent and masculine, kind of a spicy leather smell. Perfect for work/school and everyday. I get around 6 hours logevity from it. Mercedes Le parfum: 8/10
#23 in my "Tour de Fragrance" which I rated but didn't write a review for when I first got this in April. I just got delivery of my second bottle, one of only two of the 477 scents I've since sampled that has gotten a second order, not because the first bottle is empty, but because I've learned perfumers cancel great scents and the eBay scalpers will want a car payment for a bottle of this within six months of its discontinuation should that happen. This was my first oud scent and a great one to start out with. All the right notes for a nice masculine scent that's business attire appropriate, acceptable for formal events, and attractive. It is kind of old school for a scent that's only eight years old, i.e. no vanilla, not sweet at all, but oudy, woody, green, spice, with patchouli and an aquatic touch that doesn't make the scent seem weak and watered down. That said, the Mercedes EDPs are not the strongest EDPs out there, but I've experienced parfums at 5X, 6X this price that also performed moderately, and for a $50 frag you can only expect so much. My standard is, "does this last till lunch hour" and it does. Safe for carpools, elevators and office spaces if you don't overspray, whereas the more popular vanilla bombs are for casual use only. I think it's one of the more versatile ouds in my arsenal, and if you like ouds, a safe blind buy.
This is not a “clone” fragrance per se, it has a touch of Tom Ford Tuscan Leather, minus the raspberry note and it’s got some petrol iris like Fahrenheit. Really well blended and smells very classy. This is also good in that it’s not overly aggressive as the aforementioned scents. This is a nice petrol, leather forward offering, and it punches high above the price point. Sadly not easy to find anymore, and it would seem the price is climbing as a result. This will not appeal to everyone, but is a good masculine offering outside the realm of Gourmands.
