Hey @Kellzfourever, the rubber tire note tends to fade quickly (within a one to two hour window). Allow it to settle on your skin, as it transforms into powdery violets, berries, and cedar. Be mindful of application, as it's quite potent - excessive spraying might lead to an overpowering scent reminiscent of tires throughout the day. I recommend using 1-2 sprays only, and consider applying to your arms or wrists instead of traditional areas like the neck or chest.
This to me is one of the most authentic violet fragrances I've encountered. It's lovely, but I must admit that the concept behind it strikes me as somewhat unsettling and eerie. On the other hand, I'm enamored with the perfume's silky smooth, fruity, and creamy aspects, reminiscent of dew-kissed violets.
My partner received this perfume as a Christmas gift and now they exude a sensuality reminiscent of a goddess. They had a similar aura with the Creed Love in Black as well, although that one remains a remarkable scent. Additionally, I'm grateful for their loving nature! 💕🔥
Honestly, most of my recent perfume purchases have been blind buys, thanks to Fragrantica's reviews 🤔. So, with confidence, I splurged on my first Creed from a store without a tester, eager to try it out at home 💧. Initially, the scent reminded me of YSL's París, but only for a brief moment ⏰. Then, it transformed into something deeper and more complex 🌪️, with hints of TF's Black Orchid and Fleurs d'ombre violette and menthe by JCB 🎨. I find it peculiar, yet endearing 😊. It's sweet, with fruity notes, but not too feminine 💁♀️. This perfume is mysterious, sexy, and elegant all at once 👑! If you want to feel like a new person, stand out from the crowd, and turn heads 👀, I highly recommend it 🎉. While it's not cheap, the quality justifies the price 💸. This one's for someone with confidence and personality 💪.
Creed's bottles evoke a sense of swashbuckling adventure, but I set aside aesthetic considerations to test Love in Black, which many have likened to Violette Volynka by Hermès, my current violet leather obsession. Upon initial inspection, I didn't resonate with the scent on paper or its opening on my skin – 10 minutes of pungent, powdery notes left me underwhelmed. However, as time passed, it evolved into a refreshing, woody violet with a contemporary flair that resonated with me. Although it doesn't share the same prominent leather note as Hermès, I understand why people might draw parallels. I'm turned off by Creed's marketing strategy, which appears to rely on misrepresenting connections to the affluent and charging exorbitant prices for perceived exclusivity. If I do decide to purchase this (from a secondary source), I'll discreetly store it away.
