Reviews

This perfume has a summery citrus scent that feels almost aquatic, likely from bergamot. I wish there were a bit less of the bergamot and more sweet honeysuckle. Though I’m drawn to soapy fragrances, this one doesn’t quite stand out for me. I’ll keep an eye on it and maybe revisit it during the summer months.

This perfume is extremely unimpressive. While it’s not reminiscent of southern honeysuckle that I remember from my youth, it might be closer to what Mediterranean honeysuckle smells like. However, overall, it feels generic and lacks strength, making it feel more like a basic hand soap rather than something special.

Mediterranean Honeysuckle is pretty but doesn't stick around on me for long—maybe just 2-3 hours. Instead of a strong sweet honeysuckle scent, I get a fresh mix of white flowers with a sharpness from honeysuckle and loads of lily of the valley. There's this sharp citrus tang, not grapefruit exactly, but more like bergamot and other tangy notes. The whole thing feels sparkly and Mediterranean, different from what I'm used to here in the southeastern U.S., where it smells more fresh and aquatic. It’s not sweet—it’s very refreshing! Not my usual thing, but when I wear it, it always puts a smile on my face.

I got a sample of this perfume, and honestly, the scent really caught my attention. The scent is juicy and refreshing, and the honeysuckle note is something I love about it. Unfortunately, it doesn't last too long—just a few hours on my skin. I would have loved if it lasted longer, but it's perfect for warmer days in spring and summer when heavier scents might be overwhelming for some. Definitely worth trying!

Q: I missed the train with Anick Goutal's Chevrefeuille. It is now discontinued and I repent not buying it when I had the chance. A: I unfortunately missed out on purchasing Chevrefeuille by Anick Goutal, which has since been discontinued, and I wish I had grabbed it when I had the chance. Well, this is stunning. Aerin has an amazing talent for making florals, and I fell in love with her way of making perfume after buying Tuberose Gardenia. A: This scent is truly stunning. Aerin has a remarkable gift for creating floral perfumes, and my love for her work began with Tuberose Gardenia. Mediterranean Honeysuckle opens with pomelo, and it is quite similar to Jour D'Hermes in the pure parfum version. The actual flowers of honeysuckle come after a few minutes, the pomelo subsides but never disappears. As the honeysuckle grows in intensity , the juiciness is replaced by a full bloom of white flowers. It is beautiful, pure, virginal . Honeysuckle is such a classy note , that hasn't been overly used like Jasmine or Rose. A: Mediterranean Honeysuckle opens with pomelo, reminiscent of Jour D'Hermes in its pure parfum form. While the scent transitions to honeysuckle after a few minutes, the pomelo remains subtle but never fades completely. As the honeysuckle becomes more prominent, its freshness evolves into a full, pure bloom. Honeysuckle is a sophisticated note that hasn't been overused like Jasmine or Rose. Still, I wish it would stay as pure honeysuckle and not get any other white flower notes mixed in. A: However, I wish the scent stayed purely honeysuckle without additional white flower accords. The perfume lacks sensuality. It's simply beautiful and natural smelling without much sofistication. A: This perfume lacks sensuality. It’s beautifully natural and straightforward, without much complexity or sophistication. The bottle and the entire presentation is beautiful too, but I was disappointed that the "stone " on the lid is not a real stone. Good imitation though. A: The bottle and overall packaging are stunning, though I was a bit disappointed to find the lid’s “stone” was an imitation. It’s a good replica, though. The silage is soft, the lasting power average. A: The fragrance has soft sillage and lasts for a moderate amount of time. The price ? I think it's overpriced... at $175+tax it should have been much more concentrated. A: Regarding the price, I feel it’s overvalued. At $175 plus tax, it feels underconcentrated for what’s inside. Still, I was always attracted to these natural smelling scents so it's love for me. Next on my list to try is the Lilac Path. A: Despite all this, I’ve always been drawn to natural scents like this one. It’s definitely a favorite of mine, and I’m eager to explore Aerin’s Lilac Path next.
