Extremely indolic leaning heavily into the gardenia. A beautiful flower in a bouquet - tougher to work with and wear as a fragrance. As I have found with other Dusita fragrances they tend to feature one note above the others. For this one the gardenia leads the other whites as they swirl in a jar of honey. Sweet.
This is one for white flower lovers. It's a beauty. Nothing heavy and screechy. Gardenia, tuberose and jasmine. A trio of floral divas. You do get a bit of that familiar banana skin thing going on at the start but it fades a bit. The lily of the valley adds a brightness and a wee bit of sweetness from the honey. The Floral divas ease up a bit and then the coconut broom is more evident. I also detect a soft peachiness. The divas start to fade quite a bit within the first hour. It closes as a peach scent with the divas now in the chorus. The longevity doesn't even stretch to moderate. The sillage is not good in this cool room. It might need some heat to come alive. A pretty scent but I wouldn't pay much for it. It smells of quality but nothing amazing that deserves a huge price tag.
Melodie de L'Amour opens with a strong green tuberose note, when I smelled it I thought that this is a tuberose based fragrance but I was wrong. After a minute or two, the other white florals,Jasmine and Gardenia joined the tuberose. They are very natural smelling and the three notes are balanced to produce a beautiful creamy white floral scent, there is nothing indolic here. There is some sweetness which distinguishes Melodie de L’Amour from the other white floral fragrances, it comes from the honey and it may also come from broom which has honeyed nuances. Imagine pouring honey on top of a bouquet of white flowers, this is what I get from Melodie de L’Amour. There is a tiny touch of soapiness which I think comes from lily of the valley and of course there is white musk. There is a fruity touch that can hardly be distinguished, in the notes peach is mentioned but it doesn’t smell like peach to me, it just adds a tiny fruity touch to the composition
Very pretty tuberose sweet floral. This is a very airy honey tinged tuberose with a backup of jasmine and where the broom and cedar join forces to add some clean wood and a dry stalk of hay in the background. The LOTV adds a pinch of soapy clean. This has fantastic silage and is absolutely stunning. This is one of thos fragrances that is going to cause me to sell off everything else I own to buy it with no regrets.
One of the most beautiful white floral fragrances I’ve ever worn. As soon as I smelled it, my eyes widened — I could just tell it was special. Tuberose and jasmine are definitely humming in this formula, but it’s the gardenia (which grew outside my childhood home) that makes this truly sing for me. Full bottle worthy. UPDATE: I loved the fragrance all the way to dry down, but my husband said I smelled like mothballs—a note I can’t detect in my nose, but I don’t doubt he truly smelled it. Oh well. I still love this scent.
