The scent is so warm and soft, blending vanilla and amber notes that feel almost too sweet on my skin. I'm thinking of gifting this to my little sister since everyone's body chemistry makes fragrances wear differently.
On those crisp fall nights, nothing says cozy like throwing on a cashmere sweater and settling in by the fire with your partner and a warm drink. Midnight Fleur brings to mind exactly that sultry amber vibe with just a touch of creamy vanilla. The jasmine is subtle, letting the warmth of the woods and amber take center stage. I stepped out of my comfort zone by giving it a dab, and I was immediately hooked. It’s now my go-to for colder months. Months later, it remains my absolute favorite, even during warmer weather. There’s a hint of pineapple in the bottle, and when I spray it on my hair, there's also a smoky quality to the amber. The scent lingers softly, but its durability is impressive.
I’m a big fan of Indigo, so I was super excited when I found this Nest mini rollerball set for an affordable price. Midnight Fleur caught my eye because its notes reminded me of Tom Ford’s Black Orchid, which I love. The scent starts off as a mix of coconut and woody notes, but it feels surprisingly sweet. The patchouli is there, but it’s not really noticeable to me—maybe because other notes are overshadowing it. I don’t recognize the amber either. Still, it lasts a good while, over seven hours, which is impressive for a Nest perfume. I’m surprised it’s so tropical, but it would be way too much in the summer heat. Though the idea of a cold weather-ready tropical scent is cool, I don’t like it at all. My partner even suggested giving it away! The notes don’t quite work for me together. After a while, it feels like a mix of pineapple and coconut in the sun, which is strong but not my thing. It’s nothing like Black Orchid either—it’s more about sun and humidity than anything dark or mysterious. Even though it’s popular, it’s just not for me. I can see why others might love it, but my body and nose don’t agree. Sadly, this one’s a no for me.
This scent might not appeal to everyone. It’s pretty heavy and clings a bit—almost overpowering but not quite. The scent doesn’t really change much over time, but it does mellow out a little after some time and feels softer. It’s almost too sweet, bordering on overwhelming, but it manages to stay that way. I wear this all day, though I can see why it might work better as an evening perfume. I pick up on sweet vanilla orchid notes—it’s almost like a strong, mature marshmallow—honestly! Though, to me, it works. The orchid keeps it intriguing. There’s no heavy patchouli here, but I do notice some woodsy and amber notes. In short, it’s bold, alluring, and heavily sweet with a creamy vibe.
This is my go-to fragrance.
