Extremely stinky. You'll still be smelling this on yourself 24 hours after putting it on, even after a shower. At that point it actually becomes a bearable level of smell though. I really don't hate the smell, I actually quite enjoy it and find my self using it occasionally (and very sparingly), it reminds me of walking into an incense shop, I do wish it were less pungent though.
all I smell is sesame chicken
The brief for this be like: “can we make it like Black Afgano but don’t make it last”. This brand has literally been launching new scents at the speed of chickens laying eggs recently… Really poor creativity especially from a house that often likes to put up an edgy and avant-garde facade!
Love a good oud! I have “stinky” ouds, fresh ouds…. This is a much “rounder” oud. The coffee and slight sweetness makes it much more wearable. I think some people just don’t like oud… and then obviously you won’t like it. But it’s a great scent!
Accquired a generous sample and it's a very well done scent - davana's a heady top note here and then the coffee-chocolateish-tonka notes start to shine. That's when the sweet touches and the woody touches find their way out as well. Expect the oud to be a background player. It's a niche offerings through and through and trust me, it's doesn't masquerade as a mass-appealing scent! It opens too masculine on my skin, but once the top notes run out, it's unisex enough! My two cents - if i were to keep it, i'd spritz this around fall or winter.
