Reviews

Pineapple and patchouli burst forth initially, followed by anise and lavender. This unusual combination creates a dissonant introduction, yet it coalesces into a unique harmony of fruits and herbs. Ultimately, the scent reveals itself as a full-bodied pineapple, complete with its rough exterior and delicate leaves. As it dries down, I detect a smoky quality that gradually gives way to caramel notes, revealing the base accords. The result is a gourmand fragrance that's both unconventional and utterly captivating. Wearing this perfume leaves me feeling uplifted throughout the day.

Tested this on a lovely spring evening. Caught the pineapple punch instantly but it mellowed out gradually, and I didn't quite pick up on the lavender (although I cultivate several types of lavender so I'm looking for a distinct note). Lasted all day on my skin. Appreciated the development from initial spritz to dry down, and the intricacy is engaging.

This is a love-hate affair for me, as well. While I adore the pineapple aspect, the anise really takes center stage and grows overwhelmingly unpleasant. When something bothers me, its presence can be overwhelming to the point of being unbearable, which was certainly the case here. Ultimately, I decided to tolerate it. Edit: Unfortunately, my tolerance wore thin, and the scent transformed into a plastic-like aroma that left me no choice but to wash it off. Edit: Revisiting this perfume after three months has allowed me to reevaluate its components more objectively. While the pineapple remains impressive, the overall fragrance still requires some getting used to. I might find myself enjoying it if I can secure a good deal on it. Edit: Upon acquiring this at a discounted price, I discovered that the plastic-like scent was actually an manifestation of the patchouli note. Additionally, the Richwood dry down also features this characteristic, which I must learn to appreciate since I have many bottles with similar patchouli profiles that don't particularly resonate with me.

I acquired this perfume through pre-order and initially had second thoughts after purchase. I contacted Masud bhai at Perfume Center to arrange a return, but by the 7th or 9th day, I decided to give it another sniff... and wow! It's truly a masterpiece with impressive sillage, projection, and longevity - a must-have indeed ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

I'm sorry, but aside from lavender and patchouli, which I strongly dislike, I fail to detect any other notable notes. Perhaps it's an issue on my end, but unfortunately, Malle hasn't impressed me this time around.
