Remember when they cost $125 a bottle. No real deer musk and the price goes up? WTF?

Not bad. I was expecting it to be more animalic but it's obvious it was composed for wearability with just a mere curtsey or nod of the hat to a skanky musky deer. The bit of animalic skank is mostly in the opening and top of the mid, formed by the Laotian oud and Musk mallow, I would assume. The brand says "synthetic musks" so I guess there are other contributing notes. But in the end it's all very wearable and pleasant, a bit powdery with some nice floral and Aromatic accords. And it comes across almost quasi-ambery although there are no amber notes listen. A creamy sandalwood probably contributes to this. Sits really close to the skin though. I didn't get much natural wafting up to my nose, which is the primary way I evaluate performance. I had to stick my nose to my skin.

Its like the oud is in the center as floral and some spice encircles it. It's nice and pretty, fitting for the fall time. This turns into a barbershop type of fragrance, a very masculine vibe for it. More mature if you ask me. A good try for the fall time.

I love this soft, every day musk. It isn’t at all soapy or powdery, but is just like snuggling a cute, furry animal. It’s warm, definitely animalic but clean and office safe. I need loads of it though because it does not project much. It is unisex and sillage is pretty low. I love it as a warm, comfortable and neutral perfume. Not for anyone wanting to make a statement.

Musk Deer opens like a musky and cold breeze, but luminous, effervescent and spicy, which I believe is Cardamom. The ambrette calms down throughout evolution, when the floral/woody chord emerges, and here I believe is the concept behind the creation of the fragrance, which would be to portray the furry Musk Deer in its adventures through the Siberian forest. Spectacular perfume and another incredible creation from Zoologist. Silage and fixation are absurd - although it is a soft perfume - it remains present for 10 hours.
