A masterful blend of creamy/vanilla, lactonic, rose, and spicy notes that expertly capture the essence of kulfi, reminiscent of its syrupy rose/litchi flavor profile. I find this perfume to be remarkably free of powdery undertones, a trait shared by my boyfriend who is particularly sensitive to such notes. The scent's woody aspects, if present, are subtle and play a supporting role, much like the citrus top notes that add depth without overwhelming the rose-centric opening. Overall, this is an exceptional, sweet, and spicy gourmand that I would be delighted to own a full bottle of. Its affordable price point at Walmart for a Tom Ford fragrance only adds to its appeal, earning it a well-deserved 8/10 from me.
If only the longevity of this fragrance allowed me to indulge in it daily, I'd be all over it! As it stands, I adore wearing this during the fall/winter/nighttime when its sultry, grown-up vanilla and kulfi notes shine. The spicy and slightly orange opening is a pleasant surprise, though I'm relieved it doesn't linger too long – I'm not a fan of strong spices or oranges in my perfumes. While I can't imagine anyone but women enjoying this scent (it's far too sweet and vanilla for men), its intoxicating allure ensures that whenever you wear it, you'll receive oodles of compliments!
I decided to investigate a Kulfi recipe and created it for dessert, driven by curiosity about the scent. Using milk, cream, pistachios, cardamom, and saffron, I was delighted by its taste and surprised by how familiar it smelled - it's now clear why it reminds me of Noir Pour Femme! 😋
Yes, it's indeed been discontinued and extremely challenging to locate. Luckily, I managed to secure a bottle from FragranceNet, although their supply is limited, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it arrives safely 😊.
This perfume offers an intriguing blend of many notes upon initial application. As the fragrance evolves, a pronounced rose accord emerges, accompanied by subtle powdered undertones. While its vintage charm may not appeal to everyone, I appreciate its beauty; however, it's best suited for more formal or limited occasions. The longevity is impressive, and although the sillage is moderate, this perfume still makes an impression.
