THIS rating is an example of how people wouldn`t recognize great stuff if it hits them in the face. 1st time I smell a perfume that has a black tea note and I don`t want to tell the maker to google what Tea means. This is freshly brewed strong black tea poured into a cup just next to your nose. Very photorealistic. Next to a plate with freshly cut orris root slices. Just that. Outstanding. Earthy, simple, gourmand, with a light resinous entrance. 10/10
Smells like earthy orris. lipstick. powder. Simple. Realistic. -
This smells like the greeting card aisle of a drugstore in the late 80's. I don't really know what else to say about it. It's not exactly a bad scent, per se. I just don't know why anyone would want to smell this way.
With all the Imaginary Authors perfumes I've tried, I've found that their scent stays the same on me from the first spray until it disappears. I didn't check out fragrantica before I bought a sample of O, Unknown! so the overwhelmingly powdery smell really surprised me! I expected to at some point smell a note like a box of tea, but all I could get was a subtly sweet powder from beginning to end. I'd recommend this to someone who misses when their kid was a baby and wants to be transported back to that
very cosmetic opening like straight lipstick (which I love!) powdery, face cream, lovely iris very pretty- I LOVE cosmetic frags & just wish it stayed like this the whole time but then dries down very different; musky, woody, papery notes, dry, dusty, understand all the library/papery descriptions. Orris? To me the tea notes aren’t super apparent unless I reach. Musky & sandalwood (10ml keep?) this is the only 10ml I’m thinking of returning/exchanging for Telegrama which I personally think is a really much prettier powdery fragrance by IA
