It reminds me of Burberry Brit in the drydown phase.
For me, Pi Neo was a massive letdown! It's not bad per se—it’s just unremarkable. While I really enjoyed the original Pi for its uniqueness and character, even though some find it too sweet, Pi Neo only shares a few base notes with its predecessor. The fruity vibe is a turnoff for me, and there's one particular note that just doesn’t sit well with me. The marketing campaign feels unnecessary and overhyped, especially trying to tie it into the Matrix character, which didn't make much sense. Honestly, this fragrance won't leave a lasting impression on others because it’s just average. I was able to get it cheaply, though! (The bottle is nice, but holding it in your palms to spray is a bit of a hassle.)
Pi Neo offers a fresh and less sugary twist on the original Pi fragrance, embracing woodsy notes and a more balanced aroma. I find it surprisingly wearable and unisex, maintaining a futuristic vibe with sparkling citric elements and fresh woodiness. While it's intriguing, it doesn't feel entirely unique—it strikes me as cosy rather than sexy, more about comfort and casual charm. The scent has a clean, refreshing quality without leaning into soapy or powdery undertones. The icy-blue bottle color thoughtfully mirrors the scent's crispness. Its staying power is decent, though it tends to stay close to the wearer, making it intimate rather than projecting strongly. I believe this would appeal especially to fans of the original Pi, who might appreciate it as a lighter, summery alternative.
I find the composition of this perfume quite unusual. It has a strong woody vanilla scent with citrus undertones that give it a fresh, powdery vibe. While it shares some similarities with Armani Code, it doesn't reach the same level of sophistication. Overall, it’s decent but not something that stands out. Being discontinued probably means not many will mourn its loss. 5/10
I've been getting a lot of compliments on this perfume... Funny thing is, after a few hours, I can't smell it anymore, but others still can.
